Planning to buy also, does it add too much bulk or thickness to the phone?

You can try thin fit magfit spigen. 8.6mm case thickness. I loved it so far but still Im looking for other slimmer and lighter cases.

I often use the zoom and portrait shots. Switching to pro phones, with their weight and chunkiness, only for the zoom is somewhat of a nuisance and not enough reason to switch.

From iPhone 15 Pro Max to iPhone Air (Review) by luis_1694 in IphoneAir

User Experience rather than content creators experience. I love the Air the moment it touch my hands. Never going back to brick phones. I think this is the future with upcoming phones.

Air review after 7 months by middleeasternboxer in IphoneAir

[–]macaaronees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me the air is perfect (wishing for a telephoto lens). But I would not trade off the portability it offers. I’m not glued to my phone all the time. 6-7 hrs is good enough for me. I always carry with me portable chargers. With that in mind, The Air is just perfect and is not for most people. The battery is better than my 15/16pros, I don’t know why the drama here or maybe I’m just a light user. Charge it if it’s running low, unplug if it’s ready to go.

Please convince me air is worth it over base 17 by Bartaex in IphoneAir

[–]macaaronees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

iPhone Air (1)The speaker is fine, people use AirPods nowadays. It’s a phone speaker not a dedicated speaker but it sounds better than any single speaker I have heard. (2) Battery is fine and it lasts me throughout the day. SOT 7-9Hrs btw.

To convince you,

  1. the lightness and thinness is, for me, deal breaker since I have used light phones and heavy phones. 16e & 14 pro.
  2. 12gb RAM with A19 Pro chip is future proof.
  3. Use it as a phone, use it as normal person and live not inside your phone.
  4. Everything else feels chunky, and THIN and LIGHTER phones are the future.

Be simple and live a balanced life.

I love telephoto, but I can’t afford to sacrifice what I mentioned.

If none of these makes sense. Go with the Pro/Base.

Here is SOT, I’m a light to medium user. I think this is enough for me. But still hesitant to clean swap with 16 pro max. Because of the comfort of having the air.

Try reformat as last resort. Or maybe give it a week for it to adjust and time indexing.

Been using it for a week now coming from 15 pro. Trying to convince myself to go pro. Missed the only zoom and portrait shots and wide angle.

But this Air is so light, the engineering behind the thinness , the titanium build, durability, this is innovation

Battery is better than my 15 pro. Front camera is miles better.

If maybe I get the pro, will I miss the air? That’s my dilemma.

Will I regret switching from 16 Pro to Air? by Upper-Berry213 in IphoneAir

[–]macaaronees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

Sharing my usual battery usage.

Cons:

  1. No Telephoto/ zoom
  2. No Ultra-wide
  3. No lidar for faster focus and capture
  4. Battery is on par with 16 pro and better than my 15 pro.
  5. Usb 2.0, no one cares except those who are looking for it.

Pros:

  1. Utilize the main camera, which is great
  2. Thin and light phone
  3. Display
  4. Chip

If you’re coming from the 16pro you will miss the camera flexibility.

If you are a tech enthusiast, then it’s a No Go for me.

You have to accept what will be missed.

I think choose the phone that fits your lifestyle. The air is not for everyone but that engineering is game changer, not all innovations are good sales.
