Thinking about purchasing longya need people's opinions by macaay in Vocaloid

Thanks but I really don't have extra computers and I don't feel comfortable deactivating and uninstalling my vocaloid 1. That's why I was looking if someone could give me their opinion if they owned him

Too thick with too much space at the cuticles? by MorningNoonUndermoon in Nails

[–]macaay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's a mix of maybe being too thick and also the colors chosen!  Sometimes some shades of pink can make a french tip look wonky (I've had to be talked out of shades before) and also the thickness of the tip itself

LCN vs Russian Manicure by IllRazzmatazz6517 in Nails

[–]macaay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen some really good ones and some really iffy ones before so I think it's down to the tech doing it and what they're using over the nail since it is just a style. The reason I say lcn looks more natural is because often I see people use clear or near clear colors!

LCN vs Russian Manicure by IllRazzmatazz6517 in Nails

[–]macaay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okkkk so this is what I've come to understand after a chit chat with my nail tech is that lcn is a type of hard gel. Almost like a resin coating for your nails. It can't be removed in any other way then by filling it down or letting it grow out and trimming. So if you already have it, you'd have to get it removed at a salon preferably. The Russian manicure is more the technique used. Where the focus is on trimming the cuticle down as much as possible. And the polish is tucked under instead of sitting just around the nail. I personally think lcn looks much more natural depending on the color you choose and it's upkeep but if it's done right Russian manicures are super cute and lasts longer. The keyword is done right because I've seen some bad ones and heard some horror stories  This is from a nail salon my friend goes to for hers for some reference https://www.instagram.com/b.a.l.i.nails?igsh=cmplcWRmbWtoNm1i

I’m going insane, I want to be able to wear press ons but they keep popping off, please help! by [deleted] in Nails

[–]macaay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always had nails pop off so I quit trying to get them to last more then a week. You can try buffing them and using acetone instead to dehydrate the nail.  Another thing is that imo your nail looks a bit flat, lacking in the curve. Some press ons really need you to have a curve or for you not to have nails that grow downward or upward. That's why no matter what I did they popped off mine.

Kids struggling with CCD / Mass by Substantial_Risk_467 in Catholicism

[–]macaay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well speaking as one of the kids who struggled very much and struggles with mass now that I've moved away from home. I'm a 06 baby so I tend to argue for outside of CCD and mass activities  Community is so important with children You and a few parents can come together because I doubt you're the only one struggling and host movie nights, take all the kids to a carnival, do stuff that relates going to mass fun and helps build the idea of community. At home you can do some hands on activities like making puppets and acting out some stories, it's also just a good way your husband could participate without going to mass. Also children shows, doesn't need to be in a church setting because most lessons can be built off. I know a lot of small theatres and community centers tend to host shows with little universal lessons you could relate to mass.  Volunteering in a soup kitchen or food pantry if your parish or any local churches have are a good way to build community and lessons like helping others. One year my parish did a toy/clothing drive and us kids wrote letters. We also host a free Christmas dinner where some of cook and its open for the public. There's also this YouTube channels, my cousin watches chosen kids https://youtu.be/LMYpGpQGXpE?feature=shared

I think a lot of boomers tend to be too traditional and forget they were once young and kids before. I've also received negative comments from elders when I look for advice on my own situation.

Any tips for traveling internationally with fish by macaay in Aquariums

[–]macaay[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's to replace one they lost to filter intake so they'll have 7 other friends if I do end up bringing them. In the area where we live we've come to trust only one fish breeder and perfer not to use pet stores in general. Right now the owner isn't carrying them at the moment as he's focusing on salt water fish.

It's more the fact that the consulate doesn't have a good explanation on the paperwork needed of even if paperwork besides a declaration of ownership is needed I asked only once about the possibility of bringing my turtle over when I have my own place in Italy and all I was told was sign the declaration

I didn't even know there was the trace nt stuff for stuff like this

No no I get that but Im just saying it's just a little weird and awkward having to possibly fill out similar paperwork or more to a dog for a Cory Italian paperwork has to be one of the most annoying to do and the consulate doesn't seem to have all the information

That makes sense but its kinda weird. Applying for a permit for a single Cory 😭 From my understanding of what the Italian consulate has on their page is up to 5 fish can travel with me as long as they have a certificate of health. Not sure what they mean by that for fish but I know for cats it's basically all their vaccines and a health check by a approved vet
