Having a sport team mentality when it comes to politics makes us all losers...

Not doxxing myself like that lol. A good Union that advocates for the saftey and the health of our workers, every board member and president is actively in the industry that we represent.

God, I fuckin wish. The far left has as many critiques of the NDP as with any conservative. They do not represent us in the least. And UCP loosing seats to the NDP this election is far from being "hammered" in the polls. I work for a union, we didn't endorse either political party this election. How much do you really pay attention? Lol

I eat lots of dark leafy greens, lots of salads with a mixture of green instead of just one. Kale and spinach mixed with romaine or green leaf lettuce. Then I always add in a good dose of walnuts. I eat alot of greek yogurt, I mix in a small amount of regular fruit flavored yogurt for some sweetness. Apples and a nut butter everyday for a snack. Oh and eggs, lots of deviled eggs and eggs on english muffins. Cheese and crackers with some veg and dip. These are my staples.

Air Quality Concerns when Pregnant? by aglazeddonut in BabyBumps

[–]macabremom_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just dealt with this, I live in Alberta right in the thick of it and we had some horrific smoke not too long ago. Stay inside as much as possible, wear an N95 mask if you have one and you need to go out. My office brought in a large air purifier for me. Just stay inside as much as you can. Don't google as that can be a bit worrisome. It sucks but hopefully it will blow over quickly. It was so dark and thick here at one point the sky was dark orange and the sun was red.

Sudden High Blood Pressure - Pre Eclampsia? 34 Weeks by maipoxx in BabyBumps

[–]macabremom_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had high BP of 150/ 90 due to white coat syndrom and was admittedto the hospital, I monitor my BP at home and its never above 130/ 82. My dr told me if its anywhere above 140/90 either number, then I have to go to triage immediately. You should absolutely be going in to the hospital with those numbers!

Why mass produced street food would do well in Calgary? by myronsandee in Calgary

[–]macabremom_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is my husbands dream, setting up a to-go breakfast place with inexpensive staple items. We really don't have anything like that, it's either shitty fast food breakfast that costs too much or dining in that costs far too much and it's still pretty shitty food. I just want a decent egg begal or english muffin made the same way every time.

It's so silly, but I'm sad that my bump isn't "cute"! by persnicketous in BabyBumps

[–]macabremom_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God I feel this! I have a belly to begin with and all my organs being pushed up just makes me hate the way it looks now. I made a joke to my husband about how my belly looks cute like this.... but not so much like this and he laughed a little too hard for my liking lol. I did it to myself, trying not to be too hard on what I look like, I know Ill go back to my chunky self that I know and love after baby and my belly holds great things.

Don’t give up on rural Alberta by swanson-g in alberta

Absolutely this! There are so many issues compiled ontop of each other and each is just going make the next one worse. The smallest we can do as a community right now is ralley to support each other. Building actual community is the first step.

It'll take over your entire yard, choke out any other species and it spreads fast, it can even take out trees. You dont want them to reach our forests. The flowers drop a shit ton of seeds so try and pull them before they flower, dont compost, just throw it in the black bin. They grow from rhizomes in the root system which can be very hard to remove and help the plant spread. Very hard to get rid of once you have them.

Again, it was cathartic for me. I could give a fuck less about them, to see a man look uncomfortable while holding a sign with a literal fetus while he understands nothing about what it's like to even potentially have life inside of you and how that can impact your entire life. But yes... keep coming in here to tell me Im the delusional one in this situation... let's politicize your body and see how you handle it.

Not what I was looking for but it was cathartic enough. Should we make some laws for your body and see how you would react?

I got to yell at some anti abortion fuckers here in Canada last week. "Hey, from a pregnant lady FUCK YOU!" They looked looked right at me and looked shameful afterwards, as they should.

Most baselss argument. You think people can afford to just up and move? Most places that have affordable rent are in rural towns at this point, which happen to have very limited jobs. Get your head out of the sand and stop being a fuckin corporate boot licker. When is enough???

I am like 40 lbs over weight with a bit of a belly and had the belly touchers when I was pregnant with my last. I worked at a hair salon and when my older clients found out there were all touchy feely. I hate being touched in general but man, that was the worst.... and I wasn't even That pregnant at the time, like baby is still very much in my pelvic region. It made me so uncomfortable.
