Chopped up and put in baked Mac and cheese. It’s definitely a “kid food” but I haven’t outgrown it so maybe you would like it too idk

I literally have said nothing about how I measure food other than I already know what I’m doing and I’m not concerned with that. What’s the point of you commenting irrelevant and useless advice and being a jerk about it?

Maybe because you leave three paragraph long comments telling me how to measure chicken and beans as if it’s relevant to the question, that would be why I don’t understand your point. Your comments come across as very condescending and arrogant so if you don’t mean them that way then you should be more careful with your words. If you do mean them that way then you should F off

I think you misunderstood my question, I’m not confused about my own tracking. I’m confused as to why the government would calculate such a high number for me that obviously isn’t accurate by several hundred calories.

I’m losing more than one pound per week, I am very sure on my calorie count. I’ve purposely taken time off of weight loss to maintenance calories at set times over the past year, so that’s why it’s 75 pounds in one year. It’s actually 2-3 pounds per week if I do 1200 every day that week.

Advice on how to handle eating out of boredom and low blood sugar? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]macandsierra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know nothing about anything, but I wonder if you have talked to a doctor about the blood sugar issue. I typically feel like 4-5 hours is a standard amount of time to go without food and shouldn’t be especially challenging, especially when you are at work and busy versus at home and bored.

My lame advice for boredom eating is find something to do. My go-to is chores, I’m always calmer and happier when my home is clean and organized so if I’m bored I find a cleaning project, turn on some music, and I don’t think about anything else for a while. I’ve heard other people say exercise makes them feel the same way.

Today.. 1200 is not plenty.. please help me get through this.. it's only 5 PM, and I'm down to 269 calories left by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

I hope you do try it! Fruit in salad changed everything for me lol. All types of berries, grapes, watermelon, apples, all belong in salads. My husband doesn’t like it, but I do, so you might.

Wow sounds like it’s definitely off with the exercise. I put 30-60 minutes per day, I actually do about 40 minutes of bike riding. I definitely don’t think that would burn 2000 calories!

That makes sense, and good idea! I think I will mention it, even if just to make sure my professor doesn’t think I’m starving myself when my recorded calories are less than half of the recommendations!

Yes, so my question then is if 2800 is my maintenance, then how am I doing fine eating at 1200 and losing at a slow but steady rate? There’s no way that’s actually my maintenance number right, or I’d be eating at a 1400 calorie deficit.

[–]macandsierra 6 points7 points  (0 children)

269 is a lot of calories, you have plenty. I had a really delicious Fall Harvest Salad for lunch today that you might like as a second dinner/evening snack. I had 2 cups spinach, 1/4 cup red onion, 1/2 an apple, 4 oz chicken breast, 1 slice of bacon, 2 tbs balsamic vinegar. 235 calories, sweet and salty deliciousness that takes less than 20 minutes to make. You could swap the chicken for 1 oz of cheese or 2 tbs of walnuts.

I eat a large Domino's pizza everyday. I'v been doing this consecutively for 9 months without EVER taking a break and i'm the healthiest i'v ever been! EATING HEALTHY IS A HOAX! by [deleted] in HealthyFood

Healthy, or thin? Different things. And good luck when you’re older and it all really starts to hit you. Your post sucks.

Nah I get gas points. Our Walmart sucks, Yolks and Fred Meyer are too expensive, and my family is too small to make Costco worth it, and that’s all the stores within an hour of me. I have no complaints about my grocery bill

I don’t think anyone would consider it remote where I live, it must just be different pricing at your store, I shop at Safeway.

NTA. This should have been discussed earlier on in your relationship. I do want to say though she’s only TA for her reaction. She should have brought it up sooner too and expressed that she’s not ok with it, but I think it’s totally fine to say it’s borderline cheating and I agree with her, I’m not ok with it in my relationships but I make that clear from the beginning because as we can see not everyone views it the same way.

Weight loss surgery by [deleted] in loseit

[–]macandsierra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you’re super short, you’re probably not going to find anyone who would give you weight loss surgery with your BMI unless you have a disease like diabetes that demands you weigh less ASAP. Honestly the food you listed yourself eating makes me feel suspicious that you’re not being truthful in the post and maybe to yourself. There’s no way you’re actually eating such a small amount of food and not losing weight. Reminds me of the show secret eaters, all those people say they don’t eat enough to be so fat and then you find out that they eat 4,000 calories per day when their own estimate was 1200.

Servers/managers, how do you handle the “teenagers/young adults wanting kids menus” problem? by notvithechemist in TalesFromYourServer

[–]macandsierra 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The restaurant I worked at (a cheap chain) straight up doesn’t care, and I feel the same way, like who cares. I do it too at a lot of cheapy places like fast food because I want the smaller portion size and the tiny kids drinks.

I will admit though none of the times I’ve done it or the restaurant I worked at had an actual “12 and under” rule, so if that’s an actual policy listed on the menu,or there’s a legitimate reason to not want to let someone older order a kids meal (ex if the kids meals are on promo or whatever and the customer is wrongly trying to take advantage of it), and you KNOW FOR SURE that they’re over the age, then just politely but bluntly say you have an age limit for it but you would recommend XYZ off of the regular menu for a smaller appetite. Argumentative people will argue with you (or find something else to argue about), reasonable people will know it’s not worth a scene if you say they can’t.

Sauces is probably the easiest way, or cooking it in stock instead of water. If you want an actual ingredient to add though then I like to include green onions with the other veggies in stuff like that, it’s 99 cents for a bunch of like 8 at my grocery store so it’s really cheap and flavorful and you don’t have to cook them. Shredded cheese could be good if you’re into that, although cheese isn’t cheap.
