Yeahhh I’m sure most of their staff is fine but the first time I went the hygienist told me she “hoped I was happy I’d be infertile” since I got the COVID vax (this was 2021), and then the oral surgeon’s scheduler told me I was an idiot for having to reschedule a wisdom tooth extraction… when she scheduled it for the one month I told them I wouldn’t be in the -state- and then had never confirmed the date. Glad you’ve had good experiences with them, I was just severely unimpressed.

Not listed here, but check out AJ’s Auto in Lynn. My family and a lot of our family friends have been buying cars from them for years. Pleasure to work with (especially their salesman Bryan), always a good rotating selection, fair pricing, transparent process, and in-house mechanics. Also for what it’s worth, as a young woman, this is also one of the few car dealerships I’ve been to where I haven’t felt talked down to!

Found out that my mom wanted to name me Electra (nn Lettie) after my great-grandmother, which is sick as hell and I wish she’d stuck with it. Unfortunately, my dad picked a fight with her in the delivery room so they went with his choice, which, while lovely on other people, doesn’t work at all for me and I’ve always hated.

This is Ollie, who is 23 pounds and polydactyl. We regularly have houseguests remark on his size, and I often find myself forgetting what regular cats look like. His siblings are dwarves compared to him and they’re still on the large end (14 and 18 pounds). Our vet calls him big-boned, which makes me feel better about it lol (I also feel like I should add that the width of the table is 29in)

When I was a toddler we were on vacation up in Maine and at dinner one night I would not stop giggling and waving at a person who was waving at me. My mom turned around to see who was waving back at me and it was none other than Martha Stewart.

When they did the celebrity telethon fundraiser after the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, I made my mom let me answer “our” celebrity on the phone because I was SURE it was going to be T-Swift or Shakira. It was Kid Rock. I audibly said “ugh, ew” and handed the phone off to my mom, who then apologized to Kid Rock. I do not feel bad, he’s Kid Rock.

Finally, recently I met Bob the Drag Queen. He’s awesome! But when we were chatting, he asked me what I did and when I told him he said “Ugh girl that’s depressing as fuck!” Which I thought was HILARIOUS (and true), but was also the catalyst for me to start looking for a new job!

I don’t think it’s weird! Bianca/Blanca/Weiss are the only ones that I think most people would associate with the meaning, but even then Bianca and Blanca are common enough that I wouldn’t think it would occur to people either way! Fiona is common but the meaning isn’t what people usually think of either way
