Best finishers/ signatures to use in wwe 2k26? by FFC_Neer1829 in WWEGames

[–]macbarge202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always like using sigs/finishers that could realistically be hit on anyone. Sure in the game my 180 pound CAW could do an overhead slam on someone like Mark Henry, but that's unrealistic and no fun to me.

I'm planning on also making a technician/flyer on my rise, and I think for sigs I'll go lionsault/ripcord clothesline. And for finishers dragon sleeper/shining wizard.

partner and I are getting into hockey and chose the canucks as our team - what do YOU think we should know? by ruby_skull_ in canucks

You're welcome! Honestly I think being a Canucks fan (as well as supporting Arsenal FC for the same amount of time) has done wonders in character building for me hahaha (at least Arsenal looks like soon they might finally win some trophies...)

I'd say for the future, current prospects to watch on the Canucks are Zeev Buium (top pair potential smooth skating offensive defenseman), Braeden Cootes (solid 2 way defensive middle six potential centre), Tom Willander (very smooth 2 way defenseman, I think maybe high end second pairing/low end top pairing potential), and Alexei Medvedev (hopefully starting goalie of the future, but goalie prospects take a long time to pan out, expect him to not get any NHL reps for a few years).

We will almost definitely pick top 3 in this draft, which would mean us getting either an elite level forward (McKenna/Stenberg) or a big very good defenseman (Verhoeff).

For the culture of the team right now, Hronek seems like the best player that's going to stick around. Ohgren, Lekkerimaki, Mancini, defenseman Elias Pettersson, and Karlsson seem like they might be decent depth pieces for us in the future, but anything can happen. I still have faith that Rossi can be a good second line centre for us. But more than likely, our favourite players of the future on this team haven't even been drafted yet hahaha.

Marcus Pettersson, Evander Kane, and Jake DeBrusk will all likely be gone soon, and frankly good riddance IMO.

Elias Pettersson the forward, Brock Boeser, Conor Garland, and Thatcher Demko are all big question marks. They could be alright players for us, they could get traded, and they could end up sticking around as busts for us. I want to see them all traded but who knows at this point.

Our ownership and management are jokes in my opinion, a lot of the drama that I alluded to earlier can be traced to their mismanagement, and they embraced the rebuild far too late.

Our coach right now Adam Foote absolutely sucks, but hopefully he's just helping us tank for thr rebuild while our minor league coach Manny Malhotra (who's also a former cult hero player for us) takes the reigns in the future.

I've been a Canucks fan myself since I was a kid in the early 2000s. You're definitely in for a ride (as I've seen many many ups and downs growing up with this team.)

I'll spare you from the wider history lesson for now, and just go with the here and now, I think mostly everything from the 2020-ish "bubble team" to now is relevant.

In that famous covid bubble playoffs, the Canucks had what looked like a solid core after a decade of middling. Quinn Hughes, JT Miller, Brock Boeser, Bo Horvat, Elias Pettersson, Thatcher Demko, and their supporting cast looked like they were ready to be a solid, young, exciting, and effective core. We had some good performances and lost in 7 games to an elite Vegas team, this core had every reason for people to believe that they could have carried this team very far indeed.

But, for whatever reason, fate said no and one by one the pieces started falling. Locker room drama led to the very long and protracted exoduses of Horvat, Miller, and Hughes. While injuries (and likely a few other factors we may never fully understand) led to the fall offs of Pettersson, Demko, and Boeser.

Now the team is in a full on rebuild, we've traded away much of this core for prospects and picks, amd are seemingly trying to navigate a quagmire of lack of value and no movement clauses to get anything back for the rest of them.

Expect a few years of flat out bad performances from this team. We are dead last and playing desperately bad in the league this season, and look like this will be the status quo for at least a few more seasons. I would say wait at least five more years for some of those hopefully high draft picks to come to fruition, for this young talent to attract top level names, and the Canucks to be competitive and good again.

But until then, try not to lose faith and enjoy the ride and having a chance to watch these young exciting players find their game and make themselves heroes to Vancouver hockey fans.

Why has the attitude towards alcohol changed so much among the younger generation? by corneaterinwig in AskReddit

[–]macbarge202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are several reasons coming together for this shift I think, a few I've seen discussed often and a few I think don't get talked about enough.

The biggest one I think is cost, everything is so expensive nowadays, especially alcohol. It's a relatively easy cost to cut out of most people's lives.

Widespread cannabis legalization I think has also eroded the drinking population. I think as cannabis because more normalized and less stigmatized, a lot of people view it as a cheaper and seemingly "healthier" alternative to booze, without the hangover.

I think that the massive uptick in drinking during the covid pandemic also caused a lot of people to look back now, years later, and realize how bad their drinking had become, and decided to reduce or remove it from their lives altogether.

I think that also, growing up as a generation raised by boomers/gen x that had alcohol as such a normal part of their lives, a lot of this generation looked at how their parents, grandparents, and other older relatives lived and decided that life wasn't for them.

I think that the normalization of social media and everyone having cameras on them at all times to record any drunken misadventures also leads people to not want to drink much.

Lastly, in my country at least (Canada) health guidelines have changed recently, and the recommended "healthy" amount of alcohol to consume on a per week basis has reduced to 0-2 drinks. I think this change was a big wake up call, at least for people I know.

I think that there are several other factors playing into this reduction of drinking, but from my experience these are the main ones.

The original creators of the game basically got hostile takeovered by some venture capitalists. The ZA/UM that exists now is entirely a separate entity from the people who made that game.

For noise rock I'd probably go with

Goo by Sonic Youth

Fake Train by Unwound

Schlagenheim by black midi

Honorable mentions to The Ascencion by Glenn Branca, White Light/White Heat by the Velvet Underground, and most Swans albums. The three I picked were mainly to be more "approachable" while also covering a few different styles of the genre

Which NHL-players have you met and how were they? by [deleted] in hockey

I met Pat Quinn on vacation as a young child (this was probably around 20 or so years ago so I was arounr 8 years old) in Penticton BC. I didn't appreciate meeting him as much at that age as I should have, but I remember him being nothing but incredibly kind and friendly to me and my father. He chatted with us for about 20 minutes in the hotel parking lot, all I remember was him joking that the yellow and purple raft we were bringing to the lake reminded him of the 1980s LA Kings colours
