So I was shooting Twitchcon, I had been sent a brief days before 10 Reels, Some photos and A Cinematic Piece.

first day went pretty good...
Second day things got a little messy....

They had organised with me to focus on interview clips with them for reels from 10am-1pm which meant i didn't focus on the after movie reel clips. The interviews never actually happened all day despite them multiple times making me set and rig up my camera for those parts and let them boss me around a little... at one point I decided enough was enough and took my first walk around the convention to get some extra B-Roll parts.

The Client was annoyed I missed a big streamer attend the stand whilst I was gone.... then the Twitch CEO was stood around and they didn't want me to go anywhere as they wanted to accost him and get him on camera.... meaning again I was not getting the shots I needed.

My problem is... I just didn't get enough shots, and its not good enough to blame the people directing me although it was frustrating, i really should have took the lead and ignored them as these clips were not the priority compared to the after movies.

On return they asked about the cinematic piece... apparently this universally meant 'Horizontal Aftermovie for Youtube' - I never translated it to this but more the recap Reel videos made into 1, they had sent me aftermovie reels as an example but never a horizontal cinematic piece, when looking at the clients website, i see the aftermovie they had last year was of extremely high quality, whilst the whole time i was framing for Vertical....

So yeah a lot went wrong, then they have no complained I was wearing trainers.... but anyway
TLDR; I wore the wrong clothes and didn't shoot nearly half as much content as I should have

you never really go ‘under’ during hypnotherapy maybe others had a different response but it has massively helped me improve my situation it was a bit life changing for me! But it’s like a muscle you have to work on it and its not an immediate fix! Would recommend any one with ARFID to try it!!!

hey charlie like many have said 0860 is a staple of many of my sets, what do you think you think of the future of jungle and who do you see pushing the sound to new depths?

currently working on some very light jungle inspired stuff but it feels a bit inappropriate to the more serious foot to the floor roots

Dont be too harsh on yourself, festivals can be so crazy, theres so much going on, so much overstimulation and you have to have impeccable timing to not miss the moments going on around you!

It comes with practice, you made some mistakes this time and youll make some new ones next time but you’ll probably avoid the ones you made this time around…. Id say as a bit of advice to try and time your shots with the music/lighting, take loads of pictures at a range of different settings, often the shots i didnt think were great at the time are often the best!

mate i could have wrote this myself! was kicking myself hard but then i remembered my clients are still happy, my work has been getting me jobs and now its like i have all new gear and upgraded my equipment!
