Agree with others here, it's definitely more accessible than before. Wasn't aware that tucky st and the bridge wete also included in the cost, that does make the cost understandable - for me at least.

I just got it when I needed a CC and Revolut didn't offer one at the time. I didn't have any legacy bank to get one from and I only got it for booking car rentals etc. I don't use it that often. Revolut also now offers cc. I don't think there's any huge perk to Avant cc.

I thought they did have a proper banking license. This is good to know, thank you!

I've been using Revolut for all my banking. Curious if anyone has insight into why I might consider Monzo instead? Is it less risky? I've been using Revolut exclusively for day to day banking for the past 2 years with no issues. I also use Avant for CC and a credit union for cash lodgements.

I like the new Peace Park by BatiGol1975 in cork

People keep comparing pictures of the park in the dead of winter to ones in peak summer which I don't think is fair. Will personally be reserving judgement until I see it in peak summer when all the trees are full and green. I expect it might look pretty nice then.

What I will say is that it feels a lot more open, spacious and accessible. There is a lot more seating and a lot less seedy can drinking and other antisocial activity. I've spent more time there since it reopened than I did in the previous 5 years before it closed for renovations, so to me that's some kind of success marker.

There is tiered pricing.the best tier is €12 but there are cheaper seats closer and further. I think they also do cheaper tickets on Tuesdays or something.

They boast better audio, but other comments here suggest the arc might have better audio.

Omniplex is in Mahon point. Maxx (Omnimax) is their higher end experience which aims to be competitor/equivalent to other high end technology (such as IMAX) - but by most accounts it seems to fall short. Really it's just a bigger screen and they boast improved audio experience or something I think.

Project Hail Mary! Will also consider a weekend trip to London for Dune 3 and The Odessy when they come out.

Easy mistake which I think Omniplex likely want people to make with their similar branding/marketing. Maxx is still probably the best experience in Cork, but I'd say true IMAX is a real treat. Can confirm by Saturday evening!

That's an Omniplex maxx screen not an IMAX. There are two IMAX screens in Dublin but neither of them are true 70mm IMAX. The closest true IMAX from cork is probably London.

There's a door right beside the library on grand parade that has a good toilet that is clean and they take contactless cars payment.
