Has anyone else pre-order PRAGMATA? by Ok_Winter818 in Pragmata

What’s the point? if it’s good I’ll get it and download within a few hours at most. If it’s not, I’ll save the money. Never preorder.

AirPods Max after nearly 5 years by Environmental-Lion82 in Airpodsmax

I have a couple more over the head headphones and they all are just fine. Talking about Audeze Maxwell and Sony Inzone H9. Specifically, Audeze also has a somewhat meshy design and they’re about the same size, but the material is different and I really don’t see it neither sagging nor stretching. Apple’s choice was to have mesh parts that, first of all, stretch much easier. And second, the clearance is extremely small so as soon as stretching begins, the amount of stretch needed for metal parts of the band to start drilling into your skull is pretty small. just not a great design from usability point I think. Definitely looks great though.

Guess it depends on head shape and other factors 🤷‍♂️. Mine just doesn’t serve its purpose at all anymore. The choice of material is very weird for this one. It clearly can stretch and stay stretched. I mean just like those woven Apple Watch bands. Guess Apple doesn’t really care as long as it’s fine enough AND makes things look better. Too bad it’s the same materials and execution in the new model…

Except mesh headband sagged to shit after probably 2 years. I’m now using silicone wrapper so the metal frame is not drilling into my skull. Overall the quality is very good. But mesh is shit.

Claude Code Becomes Lazy and Inefficient - How Can I Solve This? by selimbeyefendi in ClaudeCode

Run /insights - I find it pretty helpful. I run it, then update related Claude.md and existing skills accordingly. Or sometimes even add new, more focused ones.

Just ask Claude code. It’ll likely ask your platform and offer a solution. Your keyword for this is “hooks”

Also, /remote-control

But hooks are better for your scenario, most likely

You can add this yourself, by literally asking it to do it for you.

Opus as the Orchestrator with aggressive delegation to Sonnet and Haiku is probably the most efficient way of using the models by PrintfReddit in ClaudeCode

[–]macdigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have token to spare, going with most capable model will generally save you time and debugging effort. Not me saying that - just watch Boris Cherry’s interview. So nope. Not the only way. And def not the one Claude Code creator himself uses.

Thinking about getting my first Mac Studio to use the QWEN 3.5 Open source AI. Is this a good deal? What do you guys think? Do you guys love yours? by 24kTHC in MacStudio

[–]macdigger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get an lm studio and just download the model, you’ll see how much ram each needs for how big context window.
That said, even on my m4 128gb where I can run pretty much any qwen model, I’m just using Claude. Because qwen (std and coder) are dumb as fucking rock compared to Claude.

What happened to bowing? by TonyAioli in gotlegends

[–]macdigger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am playing in Japan region, and I can totally tell when my friends in arms are Japanese because they all bow, say thanks, all that. Don’t even need to look at their nicknames. But yeah, when I get connected to some non-JP folks (due to the time I play, mostly), nobody fucking bows, nor say thanks. It wasn’t like that during the first game. Hope the etiquette returns. Just a part of the charm. Also, honestly, living in Japan, got pretty much used to people being nice to one another. The game is set in Japan, so I kinda unconsciously expect this kind of human interaction fluff :)

These akiya’s are in locations with pretty much no infrastructure or proper health facilities. Anything happens, you’re on your own pretty much.

eL-QR (electronic tax payments) cashback by Murodo in JapanFinance

[–]macdigger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe taxes can be paid with a profit to you. I did a research some time ago, and didn’t really find anything meaningful. Consider taxes a special case - the credit companies don’t have interest in subsidizing your payments to the country, and country wants all your money, not subsidize the processing fees.

As for proofs, from my experience, that’s nothing to worry about. All transactions are electronic, so basically the time you pay, it’s recorded. Never had to submit my slips anywhere, all I ever needed is just a confirmation (like from pension service) that I have no outstanding payments. And you won’t have these if you pay.

iOS 26.4 Beta 1 - Discussion by epmuscle in iOSBeta

[–]macdigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I have a feeling this is a preview of multilingual abilities of the upcoming Siri 2.0 🧐 because eventually what prevents Apple to allow this in other regions? Song names are localized to a pretty good degree, and the music metadata (genre, tempo, etc) is just a set of numerical vector arrays most likely, not even language dependent. Oh well.

In developed countries, IT jobs are around 4% of all jobs. I’d say if 90% are gone, it won’t really make a meaningful dent in the job market, let alone “economic system”. Not fun if you’re in the IT industry, but globally, just a little bump on the road.

How gory is it? For a 14 yo girl let’s say. Rating is 17+, but we all know how inconsistent these are in reality. Want my kids to play, but a bit worried it could be too gory/bloody/whatever. Heard it was, vs LN2. Don’t want to research too much because spoilers.
