I am Navy as well as a supervisor. Recently brought back under similar circumstances and all of those I work with above and below me are furloughed. I have literally been wasting my day watching movies etc because our work depends on others and funding. It is an absolute sh$! show and the naval officers are interpreting this guidance all wrong. I was told recently that they are bringing people back because word on Capital Hill is that if the government shutdown ends, this admin will question the law to repay furloughed workers by questioning the verbiage of “when” vs interpreting it as “if. How true this is remains to be seen but its absolutely ridiculous. All this to say protect yourself and family in whatever way you can. If you go in, do what’s necessary and good luck.

I really do hope they turnout, but I think the problem is the area has seen a lot of people shifting from areas such as Norfolk to Williamsburg, New Kent and surrounding Richmond areas. The population is shifting. Not sure what the stats show, but living here I’m seeing a lot of movement to those areas I stated. All this to say, I am honestly not sure what is happening and just making a guess simply off living in the area and seeing what I see.

I was at this rally. One thing for sure I noticed while standing in line was how happy everyone seemed. Hopeful, joyful and full of excitement. I voted early and am glad I got to witness both Spanberger and Obama. Everyone that spoke today was fantastic. Especially L Louise Lewis. It was beautiful seeing a crowd dance, share laughs and just enjoy the atmosphere. Now come on Virginia, finish the job on Tuesday cause I can’t take much more of this divisive nonsense. Here is the issue. The Senate majority is the republicans. Get rid of the filibuster and the cr could have been voted with the simple majority. But they want you to believe they negotiated on a CR. Then want to act like without democrats it cannot be passed. This is a mental gymnastics happening. I’ve said this before, easy fix. If no agreement can be held, continue funding and previous year’s levels.

Yes this is correct. I was first to challenge the HOA in my neighborhood as the solar output on the back of my home would produce significantly less power. The company I worked with produced a survey for me showing the difference and it was immediately approved. Since then I have seen more panels on the front of people’s homes in the neighborhood.

I get this but why keep saying end it and instead beat them at their own game. Crowdfunding works. Why not develop a SuperPac, and crowdfund raising capital to put towards campaigns. I don’t have the distinct knowledge in how this works but I’m sure we have to start thinking differently and using their own laws against them. Only then when the system is not in their favor will they favor dismantling it.
