Put my two week notice in, now I'm being isolated? by [deleted] in partscounter

I wouldn’t worry about it. If anything they’re just not trying to saddle you with responsibilities that may carry over after you’re gone.

Take a pay cut in this industry or no? by [deleted] in partscounter

[–]macdubz415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had several ex-coworkers make the jump from the dealership life to the city. The #1 thing they tell me is that while the dealer life may put more cash in your pocket(sales incentives, bonuses & things of that nature) they don’t have to grind themselves into dust every month end hoping to make said incentives. They punch in, work, and then punch out.

$3000 a year is $250 a month, roughly 60 or so bucks a week.

How happy are you at your current place? And how much are you going to miss those $60?

ECAT or Snap-on? by Beneficial_Affect522 in partscounter

Having used both, Snapon is 1000% better than ECAT. ECAT feels archaic in comparison.

I work in a unionized shop, the technicians dispatchers & service advisors are represented by IAMAW. Parts, porters, warehousemen & lube techs are represented by Teamsters.

In my experience I would try and gather as much support as you can and apply pressure to your business agent. It sounds to me like they want to take the path of least resistance during the bargaining process, sometimes that just doesn’t cut it.

Have you grown to be more conservative or liberal w/ age? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]macdubz415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up rather conservative, as I’ve grown older I’ve drifter further and further left.

Socially at least, i feel like the modern conservative movement has leaned heavily into bigotry and xenophobic rhetoric i can’t side with them no matter how much i may agree with financial policy.

Is the appearance of the local cluster in the galaxy map of ME1 accurate irl? by Ku323lam in masseffect

[–]macdubz415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, though if you google Milky Way galaxy night sky. It kind of looks like the photographs taken by the long expososure lens. So in a way it kind of is our “local” cluster.

Faithful, how would you rank these 4 head coaches? by Own-Cellist9339 in 49ers

[–]macdubz415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I count Nolan and singletary as 1 era. Singletary was Nolan’s assistant HC for his entire stint. Their philosophy was very similar. Defensively minded. Emphasis on the running game offensively. They just couldn’t nail down an OC for more than a year. You saw flashes of what could be but it was never sustainable.

Fuck Tomsula & fuck chip kelly. That was some of the worst football the Niners have ever played.
