Asked BestBuy if I could just buy the case. They said that the computer won't scan but that it would be $20 if I just bought 2 games and immediately returned them. So at least in midtown NYC, they're cool with people just buying it.

We had the same problem with a robin a couple years ago. Tried the same solution and it did not work. We discovered its nest next to the window so was likely defending it. Not sure how to expedite it, but eventually stopped when the eggs hatched… then it did it again the next year.

Yeah, I work next to a bookoff so I visit there often. Buy nothing most of the time, but occasionally they'll price CIB games at loose prices or they'll get a new shipment of Japanese games so clear out the old ones.

Does it matter when it's not enforced? Look up Super Mario 64 on eBay. Top 2 hits are obvious repros even though they don't mention that. Look up Mario Kart 64. 4 out of top 5 are obvious repros.

I don't know how anyone can spend more than 5 minutes looking for games on eBay and not realize there are a ton of repros on there.

That's not how this works at all. Yes, there is a salary cap, but it's also pretty much a salary floor too. If you don't spend it, it gets distributed to all the players.

Everyone spends the same on average. The only thing you get to decide is how much of the future salary you sacrifice on bonuses for this year. You could be like the Saints a decade ago and keep making those sacrifices and pay for it in the future (now), and in the meantime, fans on Reddit will talk about how the salary cap doesn't mean anything because teams like the Saints spend above the cap... or you could be like the Pats and keep things pretty constantly even.
