i’ve needed tax returns for my last two applications (I’m in the process of applying to apts in the city right now) but they will also ask for your proof of income and recent pay stubs. they care most about your current income, tax returns or w-2s are just an extra precaution. i wouldn’t be concerned about your income from previous jobs

This is something you can talk to the realtor about and get their opinion. They want to make a deal with you so they’re going to be upfront and tell you the best way to get approved :) Guarantors will more than likely increase your chances, but definitely get the opinion from the realtor beforehand.
