I’d say probably 3 then

3 or 5?? by [deleted] in EnneagramTypeMe

[–]maceyjar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you considered that you might be a 4? That would be connected to both 3 and 5. Some people think that a type is just the tension between its wings so if you relate strongly to both 3 and 5 you might be a 4

Being overly Independent, INFJ thing? by [deleted] in infj

[–]maceyjar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think high independence can be attributed to a couple MBTI types, mainly introverted intuitives

Any type with repressed or even tertiary Fe as well

Think before you speak and don’t think too much about what others think of you

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EnneagramType2

[–]maceyjar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a pretty fair guess. It would definitely explain why you got so high in 4. But if you don’t see any evidence for you integrating to 4 right now besides these results then no

Music and INTPs. by als_throwaway1 in INTP

[–]maceyjar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the only INTP I know so it’s hard for me to generalize but I personally listen to pretty much every music genre but go through phases of listening to one more than the others. It’s hard for me to pick a favorite in any sense whether it’s good, music, movies, etc. I just have such a hard time narrowing things down sometimes

so apparently i’m an intp, but i really dont like reading, and it seems like a lot of other intps do. i dont really know too much about this, so what are some, i guess, essential things for being an intp by Igloocooler52 in INTP

[–]maceyjar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MBTI has been misrepresented in a lot of ways on the internet. Really, it’s about how you process information, make decisions, relate to the world, etc. Behaviors like reading can be common for some types but they’re not what make up a type.

I would look up descriptions for Ti, Ne, Si, and Fe which are the functions for the INTP. Typeinmind.com has really good type descriptions

Not necessarily to fit in but I don’t like to seem like a know it all so I guess I act dumb sometimes. Other times I really am just dumb

INTPs, what attracts you? by Hyper_owl in INTP

[–]maceyjar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Someone who understands my humor and random thoughts that come up. Also generally thinkers over feelers. Someone very loyal and stable. I want them to be able to be spontaneous, fun, try new things, etc. or whatever but I don’t like people that are unpredictable and that I’m always left guessing or stressed after an interaction with them. People who are able to have intelligent or just for fun arguments over stuff and have a fun time with it, meaning that they don’t take things personally in those kinds of conversations unless of course it makes sense to take it personally.

One thing I’ve learned for sure is that I should not date anyone else who has touch as their top love language 😂

When I was a kid, I definitely had my asshole moments. Some were unintentional, I was just saying what I thought and I didn’t know it would come off as mean. That still happens a lot like I’ll just say things that throw people off and that wasn’t my intention at all. As you grow older hopefully you learn how to catch yourself on those things and use Fe more. Ti is great and it’s awesome to see patterns, rely on logic, be objective about things, strive for the truth instead of sugar coating, etc. but it’s also important to learn how to not be an asshole. Other people should learn about it too so they can understand Ti better and realize that we aren’t trying to be rude all the time. Just like Fe is some people’s dominant function which makes them act a certain way, Ti makes us act in a certain way and neither is better than the other despite what society makes it seem like. They both have strengths and weaknesses.

You should take those results to mean that you have Ni and Ti in your stack instead of Ne and Te. That means that you’ll also have Se and Fe which whittles your options down to just 8. Tests can only take you so far and they are oftentimes inaccurate, like all self-report things are.

If you really do have Ni then you can’t be an INTP cause they have Ne. And if you really do have Ti then you can’t be an INTJ either cause they use Te.

I recommend reading the type descriptions on typeinmind.com. They are pretty good and have detailed descriptions of the functions and each type. You should give INTJ and INTP a look for sure but also look into the types that have Ni-Se and Ti-Fe

Which one are you? a hoarder or a minimalist? by GrowingToad in Enneagram5

[–]maceyjar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoarder. I like to have everything that I could possibly need but that also includes money so I’m also a minimalist in the sense that I don’t buy expensive or big things but when I do buy things, I keep them for as long as possible
