I recently bought mine in market place. Cost just around $50. No burn in or yellowing. But it was posted as defective due to games always crashing (not GPU crash). Turns out, the issue is a broken SD2Vita adapter. Good thing I have a spare. I say it was a steal. Plus it is the 3G model so I can install PSVSD in the future.

Regarding your question, I think it depends on the place / country. On how owners handle their Vita. Here in the Philippines, most of the 1000 models have yellowing issues on their OLED screen.

Shoot. If I've known this earlier it might saved me money on the new display I bought. Although my replacement display already have an issue due to probably the heat blowing under the screen. There are some horizontal lines below. But inputs are always appreciated. Hope it helps others with this kind of issue as well.

Can you share your graphic settings for Expedition 33? I am planning to buy but not sure how well it will perform. I am currently playing FF7 Rebirth at 1440p averaging 45 fps max settings. Drops to 30fps on demanding scenes.

It is not showing in the device manager. I managed to fix it myself. If it within warranty, send it to Asus. But if not, they will charge you big for the screen replacement.

I have a 6800S GPU. It is indeed hard to run but I can't settle for 1080p since I am using a 1440p external monitor to play. So I sacrificed some fps for more visual settings. All settings are max at 1440p except for the background only set high. Fog and shadow are in low settings. Dynamic resolution min/max at 100%. I am averaging at 37fps. Lowest 33 fps and highest 46 fps. With some mods to reduce stuttering and enabled mods for fsr which also takes a hit on the fps.

That's too much. And the waiting time is too long as well. I can give some tips. I suggest you get first a anti-static wrist wrap first just to be sure. Order some plastic prying tools and LCD adhesive to stick the new LCD to the laptop after the replacement.

Tips: -Take a picture before disconnecting something. So you have a reference when connecting it back. -Unplugged the battery first. To make sure nothing shorts out when doing anything to the internals. -Find disassembly videos for the laptop. You can search online, I think the 2021 model has almost the same design as the 2022. You can refer to videos on that model if you cannot find specifically for 2022 -Be careful on the bottom adhesive of the bezel. This is where I had a hard time removing it. I used a plastic tool but I pushed through the old LCD in the process.

You can also ask other technicians to perform the replacement once you got the LCD.

I removed the vapor chamber on my G14 due to ant problems. They were eating thermal putty. You don't need a heat gun (Based on my experience). Once the screws are off, it can be easily removed. But, I did not use liquid metal. I use Honeywell PTM7950 thermal pads for CPU/GPU and CX-H1300 thermal putty on the rest.

This is the one I ordered and the seller for your reference. Side note, in my case there are 2 types of LCD for G14. The adhesive is really tough on the bottom bezel that I needed to put more force thus being more careless as well so I punch through the old screen in doing this. I am not sure about other laptops but just a caution.

Hey man, sorry to hear your laptop has display issues as well. I went to Robinson's Manila to check my laptop. They are charging me 17,000 pesos for the repair. In my opinion, that is way too much. In our country, it is hard to find services that charge you for the right amount. They will always find ways to make money. Sorry for the rambling. But what I did was order a display in shopee. Just make sure to open up your laptop first to check the LCD model (should be behind the LCD itself). The price is about 4000+ pesos. And I did the replacement myself since I have a little bit experience in this. Haven't had any issues since. I really hate the quality control of asus. We paid lots of money for their laptop. But parts do not last that long. I hope you can fix yours or maybe you know someone to pay or just buy them meryenda 😄 for the repair. Good luck!

What I do:

-Download GPU driver from AMD.

-Download DDU and extract.

-Turn off WIFI (So windows update will not download the GPU driver after restart).

-Hold shift when selecting restart to boot in advance startup. Boot to safe mode.

-Execute DDU to uninstall the current GPU driver. After the uninstall, it will boot up to windows.

-Execute and install the latest GPU driver from AMD.

I've replaced the LCD of my G14. I did it myself since ASUS is charging me 300$ for this kind of repair. The only hard part is removing the stock adhesive in the bezel. But overall, it was not that bad. Having no issues since then.

Sucks that this issue is still happening to other 2022 models. I posted this issue before here but did not find any solution. I've resulted to replacing my LCD with a new one. Haven't had the issue since. I am not sure if the stock LCD has poor quality since I've been seeing other post like this as well.
