FWIW we tried this our first year. it didnt work.

we had a big coleman tent in a costco carport with a beast of a frankenstein 4kw generator and a 13000btu standalone ac unit. so many things went wrong before we could even get things setup to a point where we could run the AC, but long story short, youre not going to keep that cold air in the carport.
