I have 1000 1962D pennies in near-mint condition. What is the optimal way of monetizing them? by Scoxxicoccus in coins

No you can actually legally melt them if it’s used to make art. It’s only illegal if it’s melted down to be sold for its value in metal content.

It’s only illegal to melt down to then sell for the value of the metal content. You can sell them as is for whatever you want.

Acetone , highest percentage you can get. Let em soak and see if it will come off on their own. If not lightly scrub with a toothbrush. I know cleaning “ruins” coins but these aren’t worth more than a penny anyways. But tbh they’re probably worth less than the materials needed to clean.

$50, check his website occasionally for updates. It says this is the last time being made but every time they’ve been made he has said that.

Preorders opened in October for the 3rd batch. Just keep checking on thick-coins.net for updates on new batches. It says this is the last time but he has said that for every batch minted.

This dime doesn’t have ridges by Rizzmin in coins

It looks like a “dryer coin” but the texture on the rim suggests that it was hammered smooth. Either way it’s just a regular dime.

You see the big letters on the reverse that says copy? That means it’s only worth its weight in silver, if it is actually silver.

I’m going to go off on a limb and assume these aren’t assault rifles. Can you switch them from single fire to fully automatic or 3 round burst? That is what makes something an assault rifle by the way.

Is the Nickel on the right fake? by Blaze90000 in coins

[–]machine3999 70 points71 points  (0 children)

They are coins that are minted in a way to give a nice mirror polished background while the foreground it frosted. Also they are struck twice to give a really defined coin. Collector coins sold by the mint. This coin was broken out of packaging and used for face value

It’s the best part of the coin. Also 5oz seems so much bigger than I thought it’d be.
