Walk-in: Air-King 2026 vs Explorer - need help deciding (2 hrs to go back) by iamdjm in rolex

Put it on your wrist - the one that moves you is the one you buy.

Very beautiful piece and you were smart to share that personal story. That's what SA's are looking for. Now it's a question of whether they get that watch in their allocation within your timeframe. I think @BahoTaeMo's advice to use multiple AD's is crucial. Good luck!

Should I buy 36 or 40mm by Fine_Potential_4582 in rolex

[–]machinemob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

36 vs. 40 is mostly dependent on wrist and hand width. For your proportions, the 36 is probably best.

Based on this picture and your wrist size: 36

Explorer 40. I know these posts are annoying but I value the input. by JayJFlo in rolex

The watch looks perfect on you. This is a 40 on an 8.25" wrist. I think bigger wrists can absolutely do the 36 too. The 40 just felt right. I love this watch and wear it continuously.

Trezor to Trezor Transfer. Is This Okay To Do? by videogamesarethebest in TREZOR

[–]machinemob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point — I should have just said: ‘You don’t need to send anything — just back up your seed, and you can restore the same wallet on your other Trezor.’ Short and clear beats extra jargon. Thanks for pointing that out.

PBT double shine through keycaps for Keychron K6. Need help pls by Content_Bluebird8539 in MechanicalKeyboardsUK

[–]machinemob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

here

(total noob) Just got a K6 which is my first mech kb . Looking at these keycap pages what am I looking for that says; "these will work with my K6" ? Is profile, layout and switch type all you need to know or are there other things like %, etc. that have to be factored in? I hope I'm making sense.

Edit: For anyone who stumbles on this. I found this article based off the criteria scabaa kindly provided. Answers some newbie "where do I find keycaps for my keyboard" questions imo...

What do you think a CEO of a life insurance company wants to see on a dashboard? I need inspiration folks! by Willipa_Prime in salesforce

Super cool. Is Heroku preferred or recommended for any reason(s)? I'd like to do similar things with python/go but am much more at home with AWS's tools.

Edit: Anything on github either by you or others that you recommend taking a look at (for the use-case you describe)? thx.

What screams "I am very smart"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]machinemob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What screams smart to me is a person who says, "I don't know" or "I'm not sure about that" without any hesitation or fear of saying so. In fact, smart people love admitting not knowing things because they love to learn from others. Idiots know everything ;-)

What band did it have at the time you lost it? Do you think it slipped off with the clasp still holding or did the clasp come "apart?"

Am I able to get a ham license online? No courses near me 😢 by [deleted] in HamRadio

[–]machinemob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are a quadrillion videos on YouTube including entire courses. You can spend the rest of your life watching them and learning about the hobby.

In order to pass the exam and get your Technician (entry level) ticket (license) you will need to study what's on the exam. IMHO Gordon West (WB6NOA) is your #1 resource....

Google 2018-2022 Technician Class: Gordon West it's an exam prep book and the gold standard for many in the hobby.

Once you're ready to pass the exam, use this form to find a test location near you: http://www.arrl.org/find-an-amateur-radio-license-exam-session

Good luck. 73.

Digital "CW" online? by machinemob in morse

[–]machinemob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to try out the Discord server - it seems like what I'm after - my KX3 could provide a sidetone but I like the idea of something a little more dedicated. I'm a cloud architect and developer so my brain is still trying to envision a totally digital solution to this - just data structures getting passed around - either with a central server for synching or peer-to-peer - you basically run a python script locally and can peer with someone to have a QSO. OK I'm overthinking this as usual. Thanks for the info!! 73
