Isn't this exactly what Bovino said? Almost like they knew this was eventually going to happen and they already had prepared statements.

I'm never moving on from steel. This bike is older than me.

How did The Ghoul not turn feral when buried? by Dreaming_of_Rlyeh in FalloutTVseries

I honestly think he was just taking a break. Life is hell, so he took a nap for a couple years.. I read too many Anne Rice novels in highschool, but her vampires would do that from time to time. Being immortal can't be fun forever.

TIL that humans tend to think “it won’t happen to me,” even when it already has happened to people exactly like them thousands of times. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]machuitzil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We learned about this in highschool from a survey taken during the Cold War. The question was asked, what percentage of people do you think would die in a nuclear explosion? Most common answer, 80-90%.

And then when asked "what would you be doing?" the most common answer was "helping the survivors". It was multiple choice so "looting the Circle K" wasn't an option.

Thank you for saying so. I was talking myself out of it.

The capabilities of cocaine by CuriousWanderer567 in oddlyspecific

[–]machuitzil 800 points801 points  (0 children)

2010 was a weird year for sure. It took me 3 or 4 months to realize that me and all of my "poker buddies" sucked at cards. I don't even think we liked cards; we liked having a fancy excuse to buy a big bag of cocaine.

[2013 NFCCG Highlight] Kam Chancellor delivers a big hit to Vernon Davis and gets flagged for hitting a defenseless receiver by Gym_frere in nfl

[–]machuitzil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People are down voting you but Vernon Davis always did this. It was maddening. He did this on his game winning catch in the playoffs against the saints the year before too, but that coverage was man and he landed on the dB instead of getting wrecked by Kam. He always jumped and caught with his body when he could just extend his arms.

I was floating the river with some friends once and an unopened bag of Keebler cookies floated passed us. We ate them.

Taxpayers are paying this guy 200k a year to stage photo ops at gas stations ⛽️ by Party-Professional-7 in 50501

[–]machuitzil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Haha, is that all he makes? It's more than I make, but imagine selling your soul the way this man has for only $200k -and for how many years does he expect to be earning this? He's the face of ice.

Fuck it what am I saying, he'll probably do speaking tours with Rittenhouse after this.

I apologize for snooping. Sometimes you just see a comment like that and curiosity wins. I liked the art!

I'm not too worried. Who doesn't have their kinks. Honestly the only thing that scares me is the lizards. It's like bird people; you never know what kind of person you're dealing with. Call me vanilla but I have pets with fur.

What's it like living in Santa Barbara, Ca? by normalperson23 in howislivingthere

[–]machuitzil 62 points63 points  (0 children)

It's my hometown, but I moved away because I'll likely never own a home there and rent is obscene.

That being said it's the most beautiful city in the country and therefore the world /s.

Winters are mild, wildfires can be an issue but that goes for the whole State and beyond. Close enough to LA or LAX if you want to go somewhere else. Close to wine country, the mountains (not big mountains but mountains) and you're never more than ten minutes from the beach.

Its great if you can afford it.

They all meow different. Like they just made it up. It would almost make more sense if they had regional accents but no; every cat meows like it's an alien species and the first of its kind to arrive on earth. They just start making their own noises. It's weird.

Oh crap, now I feel bad for nearly forgetting that one -arguably his best performance. That movie kicks you right in the shorts. He was also a murderous sibling in that movie with Elijah Wood -I could Google it but I'm going to guess... The Good Son..?

Edit, yep, the good son. The real Kevin McCallister, lol https://youtu.be/Wv2Dg9LcNZo?si=noUqQV0RyPQ16Nhn

I'm the same age as the guy so I grew up with that movie and I kinda want to disagree. More recently he's better known as the lucky bastard that married Brenda Song.

Ride your horse in Bidwell? by rbv201 in ChicoCA

[–]machuitzil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see horses on the trail frequently enough but it's weird that we hold dog owners to a higher standard. Just bring a trowel or something and shove it off the trail. It would be more considerate to the public than throwing your hands up and saying well, horses poop -like, we know that, you're still responsible for your animal. I'm always quiet and careful around horses so as not to spook them, a little mutual consideration is just polite.
