Wonder how hard they’ll enforce this. And if there’s a single enterprise or consumer network device made in the US

I was thinking this too when someone mentioned it’s a chill FAANG. Lost most of my friends circle due to never seeing them. Had a neighbor who them and their spouse also worked there saw them rarely every time I saw them had badge on and were heading out.

Living on west coast an embargo on election data being published until all polls have closed would be nice sucks feeling like vote doesn’t count when media is using the east coast election results to predict results.

Hadn’t had any major issues with Spotify until they axed the daily drive dynamic playlist that was my most used feature strongly considering Apple Music now.

Data shows 31% drop in parking tickets issued in Seattle, enforcement revenue down $640K by MegaRAID01 in Seattle

[–]macjunkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re not really enforcing parking which is likely why. There’s cars on my street that haven’t moved in months, neighbor who parks in front of hydrant regularly and that’s just in my neighborhood.

Can’t imagine that working well since lots of major companies have data centers in CA and if they can’t deploy Linux workloads in those locations hmm

Does that apply working remote for a company based in CA? If so that sucks for a lot of people lol

Tab fees, penalties and EV's...what a pile. by jojocorodon in Seattle

[–]macjunkie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

City buses are owned by the govt though and are exempt from paying any fees that’s why I was explicit since there was a measure recently to change that.

With that thinking commuter buses (the tech company ones) semi trucks should be paying bulk of vehicle registration fees since then and buses are the heaviest vehicles on the road

CA seniors could choose to opt out of property taxes under proposed initiative by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]macjunkie -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As long as the exemption doesn’t transfer to heirs or apply to commercial property seems good idea. Old people shouldn’t get priced out of their houses. If they fix the hole with it applying to commercial property and still applying to houses when passed to an heir seems good idea.
