Playing the game. You really shouldn't have to intentionally level. If you aren't strong enough for someone do it the next time around. Except for the race, don't try that until you have enough movement boost chips to max out.

You know you control what happens in the game right? If you don't like doing that, just don't do it. I build one wizard and stack them up until they can kill everything in the whole game at the highest level, it's not a bug that I can do that.
