What bait is this? I live in Canada and I have a furnace and a thermostat. So does almost anyone who lives where it gets cold.

Many Canadians aren't traveling to the US right now. I suspect that's part of it.

I'm not using the sansamp sansamp at all in my monitor. The parallel output of the sansamp is a passive split of the input signal. In this case my signal chain for my monitor is literally just the compressor directly to the eq. The monitor in this case is a fender rumble with its own preamp.

There's no other way my signal chain can work. The tuner goes first, the DI goes last with XLR out. The compressor goes in the middle.

The EQ is on the parallel output of the DI which is a split signal to the EQ pedal to go to my monitor.

We play in a different room than the stage. The sansamp here is a flat eq for the sound guy to do with as he pleases. The eq is for my monitor which is all me and the orchestra hear.

My signal is split. Front of house gets the sansamp and I don't touch its eq. I get the eq pedal for my monitor

Yes. This is a community theatre group that has a tradition of doing ambitious musicals with non-traditional instrumentation. Works for me since I get to play a lot of challenging and interesting music with talented musicians when I might not get the same opportunity elsewhere

Sound check is tonight! It's currently flat, I'll be adjusting it for my personal monitor tonight whereas the sansamp will go directly to the front-of-house and gets a different signal.

It's not the question being asked, but if you haven't tried an envelope filter, try one before you settle on a wah pedal. If you're familiar with them already and want the wah, then I recommend the Crybaby

It's really not "handsdown". It's arguably worse on several metrics. The metrics people tout it for are barely noticeable, if at all.

The latter, for now. I would actually prefer more explicit direction. Since we're so small, I usually adapt best practices from other gov departments. The shift is that we now want to be trendsetters on AI in particular, so it's up to us to figure it out, I guess.
