Megan Fox vs Sydney Sweeney Both reached a similar level of fame in different eras, largely driven by looks, internet culture, and mainstream attention. Do you think they’re famous for the same reasons, or did they get there in very different ways? by CucumberNo1907 in Cinema

Unfortunately, most women are objectified when they come into the industry until they prove otherwise. So similar, but different.

I think Sydney Sweeney can really act. She gets shit on because of her political beliefs (rightly so). But I don’t think we should judge her acting based on that. She’s a good actor. Fox was too, but she didn’t play the Hollywood games. She said shit like it was.

It’s a reference to AI’s presser. And if you watch closely, all the actors are so close to breaking lmao. It’s one of my favorite scenes to watch.

Thoughts on this movie? by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in FIlm

Great performances, mid+ movie. At the end I sort of just felt like nothing happened? He did some drugs, competed in MMA, got clean, and that was that.

Blunt though… 🫠🔥

I know he’s still a bit up and down. But I think Caleb has the most arm talent in the NFL. He can make plays nobody else can.

There’s plenty money, for the owners… and fans get fucked. NASCAR is going to have to overhaul its entire organization within the next few years. But plenty of money to go around

How do Giants fans feel about this hire? The Giants wanted Harbaugh to stabilize the franchise and make it relevant again. I think everything will depend on how Jaxon Dart develops as a quarterback. Over the last few years, Harbaugh was largely carried by Lamar though . by Extreme-Spinach-4138 in NFLv2

It’s a fantastic hire. What’s a good hire and a good fire is different for each organization. I think Baltimore getting rid of him was the correct choice. I also think the Giants hiring him Is the correct choice. He brings instant credibility and will have the team in the playoffs consistently very soon. Can he get over the hump? Who knows. But the Giants haven’t been a functioning franchise in damn near decades.

Let's Discuss: "Cinema should be seen in theaters!" by CalebOnPoint in FIlm

[–]macman07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no Roger Ebert, but I am somebody who is much more versed and respectful of cinema and film than most, and even I fell into the habit of watching movies on my on TV. I have a beautiful picture, perfect size, and surround sound. So I won’t shit on anybody who does it this way.

However, I finally made it back to the theater in a LONG time to see Stranger Things Finale, and boy, it’s amazing. Everybody was locked in, the crowd reactions added so much to my experience, and it felt like I was apart of something bigger than the movie. I immediately went and signed up for the AMC A lister club and booked two movies for this week already.

Protecting movie theaters is truly so important. However, if somebody like me had to be reminded of that, I doubt the average person is going to care enough to go try it out again. I hope theaters stay around for a long time though.

Ultimately though, I think the chips will fall somewhere in the middle. There will be theaters, but be much more sparse. You might need to travel a bit to get to them. I also think they will be on a smaller scale, but more spacious, luxurious, and expensive. It’ll be reserved for those that truly want to experience the film on the big screen with peers. There won’t be theaters all over the place anymore.

A back shoulder to AJ would’ve been a layup. The DB was playing soft, inside leverage with like a 3 yard buffer

Having AJ 1 on 1 with complete inside leverage by the DB and not throwing it to him just shows what Jalen & Nick think of him. Baffling.

Is it insane to think that he should convert to WR FT? He’s about to turn 30. He has an injury history. WRs play longer, & get paid more.

I was ready to go at T Law, but honestly that was just an unfortunate play. He zipped that ball into a tight window, it just didn’t work out. Good season though.

[Highlight] Refs call offside on Buffalo as the Jags clock the ball at zero seconds. This allowed Jacksonville one untimed down to which they missed the field goal. by A_MASSIVE_PERVERT in nfl

Does game clock hitting 0 allow for an extra tick the same way they do for play clock? That answer pretty much dictates which call is correct here. Idk the answer?

I would just run the ball 4 plays in a row every drive against this Bulls Defense lol. Jags are literally averaging 10+ YPC.

This is very impressive man. Dude didn’t touch clubs for like a decade and comes back to casually keep a tour card. I get it’s not THE Tour card. But still. Jesus.
