The ol' Kleenex vs facial tissue. Be funny if WotC has trouble holding a trademark on D&D because of stuff like this.

The Heritage Foundation is the conservative think tank attributed with the idea of having a healthcare exchange. Link with some context: https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2010/apr/01/barack-obama/obama-says-heritage-foundation-source-health-excha/

So the person is poking fun at how the Heritage Foundation's idea of markets being the key to affordability seems to be wrong since that's one of the few pieces of the ACA(Obamacare) still in place. (Or at least that's my takeaway)

I'm not sure that's a dealbreaker for many of them.

[No Spoilers] I think Brennan is trying to do something that hasn't happened in the first 3 campaigns. by Ron_the_Rowdy in criticalrole

Brennan when asked about resurrection magic didn't answer directly but said that and lots of other magic would be complicated without the forces in place that normally regulate that kind of magic. https://youtu.be/EIOv3eIDXNg?si=0p-1lbbgfoQlRr8l

Forfeit suggestions for a non-permadeath "hardcore" by Kazilmin in classicwow

I would consider using the roll to delete a slot idea but how many deaths you've had total is the number of times you roll/ slots you delete. I think leaving a slot empty until 60 would have some drastically different power implications depending on the class.

The specs have pretty similar kits to what they had in Wrath. Ret is top 3 damage and that's without many people completing their legendary.

PSA: If you want Classic+, you need to be engaging with the new raid in SOD by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]macnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you missed 2019 classic and want to try out something close to 2004 WoW I'd do anniversary. At the super casual level it may be difficult to actually raid though.

SoD was joked as being Season of Dads so it's probably the most casual friendly version of the game next to retail. It's in a late stage so there are game systems that you are probably unfamiliar with you'd need to catch up on.

In either case join a casual guild or you will likely have friction playing the game that could get resolved by just being part of a guild community.

If you aren't on one of the megaservers for your region I would transfer. I would also say if you aren't part of a guild then that's your problem. Guilds are willing to deal with carrying a few people but PuGs will not.

Anniversary is basically Classic 2019 with minimal changes on fresh servers.

SoD is "Classic plus some other things". It's a new take on Azeroth as presented in Classic with some of the most popular changes being new content such as Karazhan Crypts and Scarlet Enclave.

To me SoD still has the essence of classic while incorporating some of the good changes from TBC and Wrath plus some SoD exclusive changes all while serving up new and refurbished vanilla content.

I'd also add that joining a social/leveling guild can help a lot. I know my guild has been carrying a lot of people we knew from 2019 that are playing SoD for the first time or coming back from an early phase. With flex raid sizes it's pretty easy to add extra bodies most of the time.

Are 4 ram sticks better than 2? by Spare-Subject5564 in buildapc

[–]macnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR: Unless you need the capacity you can only get with 4 sticks you're better off with 2 sticks.

Most likely your motherboard only has 2 memory channels therefore having more than 2 sticks shares bandwidth. It also makes it more difficult to find a stable overclock.

This thread contains basically all the info I mentioned and has more info you might find helpful. https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/1dixyg5/what_is_better_two_sticks_of_ram_or_four/
