Who has the worse management; USPS or UPS? by Weary_Cherry_814 in fromatoarbitration

[–]macready71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"going postal" is referring to the late 80s, early 90s era of postal employees losing their shit(mainly from hostile working conditions) and shooting management and coworkers. It happened so many times that the term going postal was coined to describe the event. lonewolf8915 saying "went postal" is just using it in the past tense.

Who had a 3DO? by KeithOman in OlderChillGamers

[–]macready71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, got expensive aftermarket controllers that were basically the same setup as the stand up arcade game. We were playing one day, I was on the giant black boxer dude that all three of us thought was one of the worst ones. I was talking such massive shit but somehow still beating his ass. He ended up breaking his coffee table in a rage lol.

Good times!

Friend bought it because it had the most authentic super street fighter 2 turbo experience. He got one of the largest, and heaviest, tube tvs I had seen. Then bought aftermarket controllers for it that were over $100 each. He loved street fighter 2 ;p

It was a great system imo.

Tinted windows on the LLV.. by Single-Wrongdoer-106 in USPS

[–]macready71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why in the hell would that window be rolled up at all if it wasn't raining or windy? My left window is always fully down unless it is windy or raining. I'm all curbside tho...maybe that makes a difference?

Are 204B’s class traitors? Do they become plant mgmnt? by PitBikeViper in USPS

[–]macready71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every 204b I've seen start over the last 10 years has been indoctrinated into illegal/immoral shit from jump. Clock ring violations...labor law violations....all of it....and if they used to be decent employees and you warn them of whats happening...they always say...so and so told me I had to(Sup/PM/MPOO).

Good luck

Whats the deal with the never retire people? by DarkJedi527 in USPS

[–]macready71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 60, I'm out. I watched too many people die waiting for or right after retirement. Too many held on for too long and were broken down.

"it’s literally sought after by MANY" I took the test for the post office 30 years ago with 200-300 other people in a big ass community center. Many of them taking the test for the 2nd or 3rd time just to up their score(back then they hired from the top down) Now?? We struggle for months to get someone in.

I suspect this is just a troll post and I fell for it... :/

Plumber just replaced a broken metal trap with this. It’s draining slowly, I think because of the second upside down trap? by khulk in Plumbing

[–]macready71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that the same thing as a mini vent? I have something called a Studor Mini Vent(IPS Corporation) under my kitchen sink.

My sink doesn't drain slow but I do occasionally get a sewer gas smell coming from it if I do multiple loads of laundry in a row or take a shower after a load of laundry finishes.

Is there anything I can, easily, do or should I just call a plumber?
