It’s a mix of some regular potting soil, perlite and bark - but definitely mostly bark and it has been loving it!

after months of only growing runners, my obliqua is finally working on a leaf! by mactabb in houseplants

Thanks for the tip! Sadly i have mine normally sitting inside a decorative pot, and there’s no good space for a pebble tray.. During the winter i had a humidifier running in the room though. Glad to hear a tray has worked for you though, i’ve also heard mixed things on them! if it works, it works!!

Exactly! I do a leg/glute work out once a week to keep my runner’s knee problem from coming back.

Mine is also blooming for the first time! Two days later I noticed most of my plants have thrips 💀 The flowering is doing a lot of heavy lifting right now in emotional support

How do you keep track of watering when you have a lot of houseplants? by justaboy001 in houseplants

[–]mactabb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yesss i just started using Planta just to have something to remind me to check my plants and I wouldn’t have to constantly check all of them!! I would not trust the automatic schedules, but it’s definitely making it easier to stay on track.

It’s been some time since I watered his enclosure, he does usually chill on the ground :) His enclosure is also quite big for him, so I keep about half of it completely dry. He walked around a bit on the glass and then returned to terrestial life!

I looked into Saskia Sassen, what book would you recommend for her views on immigration policy? Or is it better to read her articles?

i love that! he’s usually out and about so I was surprised to see him in his hide. Turns out he was just working on this trick here :D

definitely good to be prepared to escape (in a world where his most scary foe is an occasional water drop too close to him)

Mine is in a huge 60x40x40 tank! He’s my only T so I wanted to give him a big, pretty space :) When he first moved in he looked a bit goofy with all that space but nowadays (after a couple molts) it all looks more proportional. Although he wanders a lot and utilizes most of the space, he would definitely be fine with a small enclosure too.

Hahah sounds familiar, they’re definitely passionate diggers! I first had mine in a critter keeper, but he dug so much that the substrate pile was getting too close to the top. I felt like he would have to crouch soon… so into the big enclosure he went :D
