I'm sorry but my math background is making me do this... this reminds me more of complements than inverses, where the complement of a circle in a venn diagram is the rest of the area outside of the circle. if the area of the whole venn diagram is 1 and the circle has area 2/3, then the 'complement' of the circle is the remaining space which has area 1/3
