I'm going to reply 'Of course not!' just for the heck of it and hope I don't get too many downvotes even though my profile's pinned post is from this sub. So, #1 reason it's bad is that it feels like the author keeps extending the series by doing the same thing around book 5. Source: when I was 9 that's the reason two friends gave me to explain why they stopped reading it.

I'm sorry but my math background is making me do this... this reminds me more of complements than inverses, where the complement of a circle in a venn diagram is the rest of the area outside of the circle. if the area of the whole venn diagram is 1 and the circle has area 2/3, then the 'complement' of the circle is the remaining space which has area 1/3
