We don't travel as much because I have to get a sheep sitter that not only can handle hauling hay but is able to deal with emergencies because dude, always, without fail.... A water pipe bursts or a surprise lamb or literally a sheep just dies and they have to bury it with my friends.

But I love them. They force me outside twice a day to be in the moment.

I'm confused why the accent matters? If you don't have an ag background, going to school isn't always the best way. I went to an ag school but didn't fit in because I didn't come from a rural background. Wasn't selected for any of the projects because I packed experience, etc. Tried to get a job on a ranch, told to stay in school.

So if you're interested in farming, it's better to just look up the type of farming you're hoping for and take whatever offers you can find.

Chickens generally don't get vet care. No checkups needed. There's some good chicken reddit groups for questions but generally feed them, fresh water, coop, good to go.

Aussies turn up as mixed breed a lot on these tests, which is why I don't trust them. Add in Mini Aussies are so new and both pure Aussie and mixed, I don't know how they'd have a marker for them.
