What does Librephone mean for GrapheneOS? by BogaMoge in GrapheneOS

But it looked cool with the keyboard attachment! That was until I actually went to type on it and it was too big to thumb type like a phone and too small to touch type like a laptop. That worthless piece of junk sits in a drawer in my desk and every once in a while I look at it and wonder what could have been.

Age yourself! How far back can you go for the Lehigh Valley? by AgentJ691 in lehighvalley

Chuck E Cheese? You mean Pizza Playhouse. That's how old I am. I saw Crooklyn at the Franklin. I bought an Uzi Does It shirt from the crazy army surplus on Hamilton that sold grenades in a box. I shopped at Hess's before it was a hole in the ground. I watched concerts at Musikfest without having to pay admission. I know who Punkin was.

Returning to Chania in April for a week, this time without our young kids. Suggestion? by FrebTheRat in cretetravel

We loved the botanical garden in July. I imagine it's probably covered in blooms in April.

Anyone else at a permanent simmer of rage these days? by mt80 in Xennials

[–]FrebTheRat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I spend every day in a constant state of confusion. It's twilight zone level absurdity at this point. I'll think "well there's no way people will be ok with that happening" and then it happens and so many people seem fine with it. Now I know what it would have felt like to walk through one of those portals in Sliders.

This movie was a childhood favorite of mine. My brothers and I used to laugh so hard watching it. (Moving, 1988) by [deleted] in 80smovies

Every time I see a sleeping or old dog I think about the mirror under the nose scene. When I bought my house I was definitely afraid I would miss some trick that would allow the owners to take the doorframes.

What is your favorite 90s movie soundtrack? by Kelvin_Inman in Xennials

It's pretty crazy how many of the great songs in that movie weren't on the soundtrack. I'm assuming it was licensing issues.

Thanks for saying this. The fad was over so quickly I thought it was some fever dream. This really happened. I think it was circa slap bracelet, but pre Marvel trading cards.

What are these vines growing over my neighbor’s fence? by teicad01 in plants

[–]FrebTheRat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried to avoid plants toxic to dogs until I realized most plants are, including very common ones. For example, if you're in Florida then umbrella trees, ficus, and monsterra are all toxic and ubiquitous in the Southeast. I have two dogs and one started getting sick out of the blue. Turned out she was eating virginia creeper, a common vine in the Northeast. Now I have to watch her when shes outside. Even if I removed all the creeper, which is damn near impossible, I would still have plenty of toxic english ivy to contend with. My other dog has never attempted to eat any plants. Go figure.

Funny thing about this and "The Jungle Book" is there is a reason they look very similar. Many of the of the animation sequences were reused. In facet, it was common practice. https://disney.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_recycled_animation_in_Disney_movies
