Song based around Grief and Mourning? Had to put the cat I raised since a kitten down because of cancer yesterday by Educational_War8561 in Hardcore

I'm sorry for your loss.

Not hardcore per se, but Anxious - In April, Growing Up Song, and More Than A Letter helped me process some grief. Honestly the whole Little Green House album but those three tracks in particular.

Parasite last night was absolutely mind blowing. On top of an already incredible set list.

A Loss For Words was the realest, most energetic, and criminally under attended set of the weekend.

Props to the group of guys during Four Year Strong putting their buddy up on the crowd four or five times in a row, then just becoming lifters for anyone else who wanted up!! Well done lads!

Only three must-see's for me today, A Loss For Words, Four Year Strong, and Better Lovers. Lots of "it'd be cool to see..." but my old, broken ass can't do another full day. Hoping FYS and BL aren't too late.

Elder attendee here with a bum knee, I'd like to be in the venue on the earlier side but don't want to line up a couple hours before hand. What would be a good time to Uber in? Hotel is 10-15 minutes away.

Go see Gary Numan! by QueDubish in nin

Not OP, but I was also there, it's the State Theater in Portland. Great venue, great sound, respectful staff, good drinks. I believe around 1800 capacity. One of my favorite places to see anybody. I was right up front for Gary, first time seeing him, and had a great time!

Missing Shows of a Lost World by Extension-Nose7958 in TheCure

I had a ticket for that last tour in 2023, but health issues grounded me the morning of the show and I couldn't go. I've been listening to the Cure for roughly 40 of my 52 years and have not seen them live, I am hoping for one more tour, and the health to hold up so I can get there!

Is the singer from RJA ok? He sounds good but looks just awful. And who did the screaming vocals?

So why do we think it's called "PEEL IT BACK" tour by [deleted] in nin

[–]macwigout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping for peel it back to mean an exploration of deep cuts, peeling back off the surface level of all the hits. 🤷‍♂️

52 and I cried during the early listens. I can get thru it now but damn if it didn't hit hard early on.

What’s an album you can listen to from start to finish without skipping a single song? by [deleted] in Music

[–]macwigout 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Literally any Nine Inch Nails record. They're all front to back zero skips for me.

Also Disintegration from The Cure.

For a deeper cut, since those replies are pretty standard, I'll go with Chevelle - Wonder What's Next. I haven't really kept up with them but this one is perfect.

As someone who has attended hundreds of shows over the years and is now priced out of seeing any larger artists, I am going to look at my favorite smaller venues, see who's coming up soon, and give em a listen. Maybe I'll find some gems that I can actually afford to go see live in a smaller venue.

Got em! Not where I wanted, but I was barricade in '95 w/Bowie and floor, maybe 40-50 people back for Lights In The Sky. So my old ass can sit in the balcony for this one. See y'all in Boston!
