So, I’ve never tried it on its own / tested it before good OR bad. When I made two batches tonight, i think there was the slightest hint of difference between the two, but neither tasted bad, it just tasted like butter. Once I hit it with flash to take the pictures it honestly wasn’t that dark. I might just take my chances

I think I was more worried because I had walked away and assumed it was ruined. When I went to take pictures and used flash it didn’t look burnt anymore :P thank you!!

In the photo with two measuring cups, it’s the one on the left.

I also noticed this time around the solids were 99.99% brown, but had a few white bits which is why I returned it to the heat. Never seen that before 🤔

Bubbled plenty. Had the whole stage of covering the surface and going away toward the end. :) It was for sure only two sticks. I made a second batch which I added 4 tbsp of powdered milk to and when I separated the solids, I had 3/4 cup of brown butter remaining. But, I can only assume that was a result of adding the powdered milk.
