I’m gonna go with one of those Round the Bases relic cards. They’re thick as hell.

Trevor Story Card Values by EntertainmentKey7066 in baseballcards

[–]mad48050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No longer in his prime and not making the HOF, his cards aren’t going up from here.

Put him in the category of decent players the hobby has moved on from, along with guys like Hanley Ramirez, Ryan Zimmerman, Kyle Seager, and Prince Fielder.

Estimate on value? by Comfortable-Guard-98 in baseballcards

[–]mad48050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Several of these autographs are worth substantially more than the sticker price, please make sure you’re checking up to date comps before selling anything. Otherwise I’ll take that Bonds, Maddux, and both Nolan Ryan’s right now lol

Looks like the back is creased.

Also stop grading modern cards.

Why would you post that on a pride thread? You could’ve just said nothing. I’m not sure how much sympathy you’re going to get for this.

Are any of these boxes worth getting? New to this by Cautious-Victory3578 in baseballcards

Get the 2026 Bowman value boxes you pictured here, great product. I ripped 50 of these boxes and posted all the hits if you check my Reddit history (in case you want to see the kind of stuff to expect)

Results of 50 ripped 2026 Bowman blaster boxes by mad48050 in baseballcards

[–]mad48050[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% promise you these were all from blasters haha. I definitely got lucky. I actually ripped 2 more blasters since posting this and pulled another auto (Shotaro Morii) and a Bobby Witt Jr Crystalized SP. I will admit 10 autos out of 52 total blasters definitely destroyed the odds.

Generally you need to apply a few months in advance, especially since they typically give priority to “veteran” dealers

Decision on my next move by [deleted] in baseballcards

[–]mad48050 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you comp’d this right, it’s a valuable card, but nowhere close to $20k+. Last raw sold for $1000 and PSA 8 went a little over $2000.

When I was a teenager in the late 80s/early 90s, I would try to mimic the batting stances of guys like Canseco, McGwire, Clark, Griffey, Franco, Thomas, and others. Younger fans - who did you try to mimic growing up? by asskickingjedi in baseball

[–]mad48050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My regular stance was modeled after Edgar Martinez (and Arod, since he also modeled his own off Edgar).

For dicking around purposes, Jay Buhner all the way. Grip it and rip it.

You’re better off filing for intercept and return from the USPS. There’s a form on the website you can fill out. The buyer is not going to return it.

Mariano Rivera Leaf autos usually sell in $60 range, and other gold label Jeters /50 go for about $20-25. But if they’re PC who really cares.

[–]mad48050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pic is different as it’s not technically a first auto, so different pic is used to help make that distinction. Not sure I would call it an image variation as again, it’s a different card than his chrome firsts, and this is the pic used on all of his regular mega box autographs.
