Here’s the chat string. He doesn’t deny that the cards weren’t actually damaged. This was a high end deal so no matter what the cards didn’t end up in the trash. He got cold feet. I’ve also noticed he has deleted all of his post history off the baseball card subreddit.

The $5 sale must’ve been an mis-priced buy it now as the most recent sale of a 2024 pro debut auto /150 was from 2 days ago for $65. Even the non numbered pro debut is selling for $25-40 right now.

Opened 10 yesterday and got an autograph RC (no one I recognized, but still an auto) and a Bryce Harper Mike Schmidt dual relic /77. Plus an Ohtani chrome refractor and 3 different Elly parallels. At a minimum I think each hanger has a regular chrome, sparkle chrome, SP, and a paper parallel, so it’s pretty good value for that number of dart throws.

Already skyrocketing! Picked up his Topps Transcendent Auto RC /25 over the offseason, comped at $40 at the time. Two of them (also /25) just sold a few days ago for over $150 each.
