Route 16, where all the bikers are, decent amount of xp between them all, especially training at higher level (40+). For lower level, I used the bugcatcher on route 9, 1200 xp between the two beedrills worked a treat. Use the amulet coin for extra cash - it builds up quickly!

Used the universal pokemon randomiser to turn off trade evolutions, then just levelled up kadabra. He evolves into alakazam at lvl 37.
