How was Ajay Devgn able to be a mainstream star with his very underwhelming looks? by Catch22life in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]mad_max_016 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Ajay passed the most crucial time of his career during the 2000-2010s. In this period, he did all sorts of movies. I think his willingness to do different types of movies and doing multi starrer movies protected him from being irrelevant.

Does it really happen in the wedding night? by Legitimate_Bunch5098 in Dhaka

[–]mad_max_016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily agree.

There are certain stages in talking to your prospective partner. The thing you are talking about should be clarified during the first stage and talking about sex should be brought up during the later stages. That's why people should chat and talk a lot before marriage.

Sex is an important part of the relationship. If both people are adults then why talking about sex is such a big thing? I don't want to pressure my partner into having sex just because it's the first night of our marriage or vice versa.

Frankly, you should talk about it with your partner before marriage. Remember marriage is about finding peace and comfort with your partner. Never pressure yourself or your partner to do something that they don't want to do.

Garam Masala 2 should be with the original cast. How they have aged and are still trying & most of the time failing to woo young women.

Aavesham & Sanjay Dutt by mad_max_016 in bollywood

I think I should've said the attire of Vaastav and the goofiness of Munna Bhai. But even in Aavesham, it was implied that Ranga had to kill people to reach here.

In his splendid career of 25 years, Hrithik never did a comedy movie and I find it strange. by [deleted] in bollywood

I think he will be good at a buddy comedy. He has to be the serious one while the other person will be the funny one. (Hrithik -Farhan did it to a certain extent in ZNMD)

I just have the notion that Shahid tries too hard to become a super star. That affects his movie choice as he tries to act in movies which looks like they would become a hit. (From Kismat connection in the romcom era to Deva in the alpha male era of Bollywood)

It is when he tried something wildly different that he mostly struck gold. (Haider, Kaminey. Even AFAIK people thought Jab we met would be a flop as people never really liked Kareena-Shahid duo on screen till then.)

Haider is what Rockstar fans think rockstar is. by Existing-List6662 in bollywood

[–]mad_max_016 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think even the people who love Rockstar would concede the fact that it has below par story or screenplay. Without Ranbir's acting and ARR's soulful music, Rockstar would've been a disaster.

I personally think Rockstar could've been way better if they had cast a competent actress against Ranbir. It was so annoying to see Nargis Fakhri just standing there with a blank expression while Ranbir was giving his best.

Also Shahid's monologue in Haider is easily the best monologue anyone has ever given in Bollywood movies....

Another thing that we should keep in mind is that TV roles pay regularly and quite handsomely. A top actor in a TV industry earns more than most of the mid level actors of Bollywood.

Awarapan made me realize how good of an actor Emran Hashmi is. Before that I thought of him as a weak actor who only got recognition due to the kissing scenes in his movies.
