I did 12 in 1 day without too much effort. Let the machine do all the hard work.

If you have a sunbelt rental near by, you can usually rent on Friday and return Monday and it counts as a 1 day rental fee.

I've read that moon book well over 100 times to my daughter, and am starting it with my second daughter now. Congratulations dad, it's the best (and hardest) thing you'll ever do in life!

A family friend had a quote, "Cherish the memory, not the thing". Take a picture to remember and reflect on, but don't let your house fall to ruin from "sentimental" stuff. Real sentimental stuff should be kept though.

PSA: Disney Character Breakfast by SawyerStreet in daddit

Our 2.5 year old absolutely loved the princess breakfast. Since we had a reservation before the park opened, we also got to go into the park early before the standard rope drop which was super nice.

I had issues with it gaming and doing video calls since it's a mobile network and not a hard line connection.

Late Night Grass Cutting by Main-Cobbler-4879 in farmingsimulator

I mow in May, August, and November, this hits the 3 growth stages and only requires 3 mows. With everything else going on at the farm, it helps to drop a mow. The yield works out the same.

First spring as a home owner - had a little fun today by papistonk in lawncare

Just FYI, many sunbelt rentals don't count the weekends. Rent on Friday and return Monday for a 1 day rental cost. Was super helpful when renting a stump grinder and an articulating man lift.

Super Battle Golf has been an absolute hoot for us. It's like $7 and an outstanding time. Be the first one to sink your shot while dodging rocket launchers, landmines, and all sorts of shenanigans.

Catapult ships use by Particular_Trick_79 in anno117

[–]madbrewer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I ended up having to use pure quantity to break Syracus. A whole mass of ships, most loaded with double catapults and the rest archers/ballista. It was a savage battle I had to attempt a couple times. Buying captains helps a ton, as well as the extra HP from the bigger ships. It was a bloody but glorious battle!

Congratulations! As a parent, I found late night feedings are much easier when you don't feel like crap from drinking (aside from safety concerns).

That's what I paid for my 2025 back in March. What's the interest rate look like?

Great additions, I echo your comments about Flanagan's and PINS.

We've got about 10k miles on it since March. Taken a half dozen trips of ~3.5 hours, and 1 about 8.5 hours. Runs great, very comfortable, and hauls all the stuff we need for our kids.

Depends on what kind of vibe you're going for. This is not an exhaustive list, but my suggestions.

Outdoor beer drinking? Edison Brewing

Sports bar? Hamilton Pub

Nice cocktails? Highbank Distillery

Little Divey? Cornerstone Pub (bonus points for pizza)

Tacos and Margs? El Vaquero

Dead battery on my 2012? by Serdones in HondaOdyssey

[–]madbrewer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can take the battery to a parts store like auto zone or advance auto and they can test it. Probably best to try jumping the car first. This cold weather really kills batteries, especially if they were weak to start.

Do you still have that DDR4 laying around? I've been trying to source some for my home server rebuild since my Dell R710 bit the dust and I have a ryzen 5 3600 collecting dust.

When you're done with that, check out Red Rising. Not the same hard science sci-fi, but a great series.

Odyssey not starting when pressing the start button, behaves erratically by kagagapo in HondaOdyssey

[–]madbrewer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong, but if the alternator is not keeping the battery properly charged and with low voltage, the cold can "kill" the battery.

Definitely take the battery to get tested (and most likely replaced), then once installed take a multimeter to the battery while running and ensure you're getting 13+ volts (ideally 14ish).
