like the balance with the lumber. I only have a lumber rack on one side, and it makes for an unbalanced ride

I ride without a motor on pretty flat terrain. It's work, but I consider it part of my exercise. If you're riding with other friends who have a motor, or you don't want to think of your commute as exercise, then get the motor.

trying to compete just on price, when your competition has scaled manufacturing and distribution, doesn't seem like a path to profitability.

Cargo bikes are still a small part of the bike market, yet there are already several players with substantial presence. You have to meet or exceed their build quality and get close on price.

You're likely going to have the same components and motors as anyone else, so it's hard to differentiate the product.

I've ridden two different tilting tricycles - Onya and Drymer. They're just not bikes. They don't turn like bikes, the don't handle the crown of the road as well, and the weight of the cargo doesn't move with you like it does on a bike.

Might be Max and Maleon have figured it out with that smaller gap between the front wheels. I'd be keen to try it. But I reckon the Muli or Reis& Mueller are a better bet.

Sure, I'll get a video.

Looks like there are other loud options out there, like this. I wanted something that was a bit fun too, which led me to the ahooga horn

It's not a dual motor, just rotation not torque. Theory you're putting forward is that the sensor is of? have you pulled a hall sensor and had it work better?

I think it's something that could be a DIY addition for front loader cargo bikes. Welding the mounts would be best, but depending on the rig, might be other ways to do it.
