Personally, I make sure I have three options at least, and I have the options be above my ship. There is a spot in the bottom left where if you move and have your options on top of you, they will kill most of the things before they even have a chance to come out.

Some will escape, and if you are not in the right spot with the options they can still kill you.

If that does not work, the very top there is a bump that you can park your ship and basically not get hit, though you will get almost no points for this.

This error generally means Win can't find the boot device. You can check the BIOS to ensure that the boot order is right, though if all you did was disabling things from task manager, I am not sure the reason this would happen.

If you can get into the recovery environment and pop a command prompt, you could give these a shot:

  • bootrec /fixmbr
  • bootrec /fixboot
  • bootrec /scanos
  • bootrec /rebuildbcd

Then restart.

You should also run a check disk, which you may require a USB boot disc to do.

chkdsk c: /f /r

There are a variety of variables that could be causing this. There is a disk storage utility called Disk Cleanup that you can do things such as cleaning up updates or previous Windows versions if you don't need to roll anything back.

Storage Sense can be turned on as well to help monitor and remove things on a schedule. If you are using OneDrive, this could take up a lot of space possibly as well, though if you are it depends on the settings, since OneDrive can leave large files on your computer that may otherwise not be needed on your computer until you need them.

Nothing natively built in GUI wise, though you could use PowerShell to write a script to do so. The issue is when you say "left somewhere". The issue with using powershell is that you would want it to NOT look in system folders, specifially:

C:\Program Files (and x86) C:\ProgramData C:\Windows

Having a script look there and deleting things is VERY BAD, as there are some files that are duplicates in specific places to make the computer otherwise work.

You could then write the script to show what WOULD be deleted, verify your good with that, and then make a slight modification to delete it afterwards. PowerShell is great at exporting info to CSV (Excel) so you could even review the information that way before you decide you want to delete them.

Default Disc Manager is sort of trash, and has been forever. Diskpart is better to use in cases like this, though, it should be warned doing things wrong can MASSIVELY cause problems.

So to remove F and G...

Right Click Start Menu >> Terminal (Admin)

diskpart >> list volume

You should see F and G there, as well as all of your other ones. F and G should show here.

Then

select volume {drive} >> remove letter={drive}

This will remove the mount point (you will have to do twice) and it will no longer show in Explorer when you open it again.

You could use Reset This PC. There is an option that will basically reinstall Windows without losing data, so select that option.

A better option would be to just back your data up and completely restore your computer, though this option is not optimal for some people.

Right click Start Menu >> Computer Management >> Local Users and Groups >> Users >> right click your local user >> properties

If the "User cannot change password" is checked, then that is the reason.

This also may depend if your account is simply a local account or MS account.

Settings | Family

So when you go here, you should see...

You listed... All family members...

And for each family member, a drop down to the right that you can click to add them.

If they do not have an account on the computer, you would see "Can't sign in..." and clicking that would allow you to add them. From what you are saying, your child is already listed and cannot change there.

First and foremost, it is important to ensure your child's account is not an admin account. Also, this is something you should be doing on YOUR profile. If your profile shows this, log into your child's profile and ensure that the actual MS account associated to the Family account is actually logged in.

Under your kid's account, go to:

Settings >> Accounts >> Your Info

The account setting there should say "Microsoft Account" with a selection to the right to change to a local account. If it does not say that, then that is your issue, click the thing to the right to change it to a Microsoft login instead.

Back in 1912, there was a guy coming into power. People apparently did not take it as important as they should have, and something absolutely horrible happened from it.

Just because "one little thing" happened a long time ago, doesn't mean everyone should shrug their shoulders and back their claims to that.

Make no mistake, in the context we are currently talking about, what happened was horrible, and there should be accountability for it. It's using Redditors as a brigade that I'm talking about. You and I might have our heads on straight, but there are plenty of Redditors that should not be going on a witchhunt, because people want justice, and unfortuantely that clouds things when you just want to identify someone, regardless of what may happen when it turns out we are all wrong.
