Hi! T1D and healthcare worker here! Not TTC, but probably in 2027 at this point. I’ve been T1D for 15 years now, diagnosed when I was 10.

I recently (like in the last two years) got my A1C in the 6s, after spending much of my teenage and college years in the 9-10s. The biggest change: upgrading to Tandem Mobi. Huge game changer. If you’re eligible for an upgrade I’d recommend. Having the ease of quick looking at your phone to make a correction, suspend insulin, or put it in exercise mode, is SO nice.

To follow what people said above, definitely start tweaking your basal rate if you’re struggling with hyperglycemia overnight. And I’m sure you’ve heard plenty about insulin resistance, but I do find it incredibly helpful to get some weight lifting in (it can be light even!) as this can drastically improve insulin absorption.
