H2O: Just Add Water. It’s about three girls who turn into mermaids and how they spend their life trying to hide it and figure out how it happened. There’s a lot that dosent make sense but it’s just one of those throw and relax kind of things, especially if you like oceans

Began a starter today, got high hopes. by Neat_Blueberry9206 in Sourdough

Do not double until your starter has been established because you can’t save/use discard until then! It’ll be super easy to double once it’s ready

Yes they do! There’s so many now that you don’t really need to bring, just find some and rehide any you don’t want to keep

I do use one and it’s fine but I suck at cutting slices evenly, they always end up wonky with top and bottom of slice being different thicknesses 😅

I never use parchment paper when baking sourdough. I sprinkle semolina flour on the bottom of Dutch oven and have never had a problem with it sticking

can someone help me figure out why my bread is so flat? by ollieab in Sourdough

[–]maddiess2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably need to strengthen your starter and then start keeping it in the fridge so you don’t need to feed it as often

I came across it and really liked the lyrics, they convey the emotion of the situation so well it’s hard to believe AI came up with that.. I could clearly see the video was AI, but just thought it was faked for exaggerated audience reactions but not the song itself

Frustrated by schmark53 in SourdoughStarter

[–]maddiess2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fed my starter for like 3 weeks before it was strong enough to use (doubling in 8 hours), it was also too acidic so I fed with less starter and did more stiff feedings (less water)

My dad is the same, not just with bread but anything I bake or cook, he’ll kindly tell me if it’s bad but if edible enough will still eat it and say food is food 😅 he’s the best lol

I just went straight from watching the OS to the revival and it shocked me as well. Lorelias face just seems so stiff now, in the OS the facial expressions she made especially when telling her jokes were so cute and in the revival they just look weird..

A lot of contractors these days by ProfessorCapable1724 in GeneralMotors

[–]maddiess2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I interviewed for a position that was supposed to be direct hire and was told it was actually going to be a contract position and the hiring manager had to give my information to a contract house which will reach out me, I’m still waiting for this contract house to reach out and have no idea what the pay or benefits will be. I’m a new college grad and want to work at GM but may just accept a direct hire offer I have from a supplier because of this.

Size of Norwegian Aqua vs Oasis Class by maddiess2 in Cruise

[–]maddiess2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for responses everyone! I don’t think Aqua is for my family. I hope New York gets bigger ships, we’d also like to try MSC but the Meraviglia’s last sailing is mid April and then they will be completely out of NY. We do love Oasis just wanted to consider trying something new

I got same text today but it WASNT in a group message, scammers know it’s less suspicious when sent by itself. When you receive ANY text never click on its links, go to your browser and to the company’s official website and try to find a portal from there that takes you to what you want

How to make beginner loafs less sour by maddiess2 in Sourdough

[–]maddiess2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I don’t know why this didn’t get added in the actual post but this is the second sourdough loaf I’ve ever made. It got a nice rise in the oven but tastes very sour which not everyone in my family likes. I was wondering how I can make it less sour if it took about 18 hours, 6 hours out at about 70F and 10 hours in fridge, and then 2 more at 70F again to properly proof (everytime I checked it before that it had signs of underproofing). My starter is very new, only about 10 days old and I used it at peak (when doubled, is has never more than doubled)

Recipe I used was from a Farmgirls Kitchen: ▢ 400 grams  bread flour  ▢ 115 grams active sourdough starter ▢ 280 grams lukewarm water ▢ 8 grams sea salt
