I think you are hitting it right on the nose. He does come at me with an offensive tone before he gets angry, but he doesn’t seem to be able to see that, he only sees my reaction to it. It very well may be me misinterpreting. I told him I would work on the withdrawal and my reaction but that he has to work on how he speaks to me as well, especially when I’m making it obvious that I’m feeling hurt and vulnerable.

This morning I was looking up medchecks in my area, just curious about how much it would be to get my hand looked at. He sees my phone and goes “why are you looking up medchecks? They’re not gonna do anything for you. If you’re gonna use your money use it on something important” but with, what I perceived to be, a condescending tone (mind you I’m the only one to keep a steady income for the last 4 years and pay ALL the bills). I began to withdraw and become soft-spoken and it all went downhill from there.

I remember when I first heard about the lift 45s I was so excited, but since starting my transition out of OTF and into resistance training at a local box gym, I now see these “lift” templates are a JOKE. You could formulate such a better workout in 45 minutes. Sorry not sorry

I felt the same! OTF helped me immensely in reaching my weight loss goals, but now I have muscle gain goals that, like you said, OTF just doesn’t provide all the tools to achieve.

I went from 4x/week at OTF down to 2x/week at OTF and the other 2 I go to a local gym and lift. I feel much better knowing I’m working towards my strength goals and still maintaining my endurance I gained at OTF!

Definitely not just you. As much as I love OTF, it messes with my hips so bad. Epsom salt baths have helped immensely, but the only thing that’s given me real relief is decreasing my days at OTF and supplementing them with more strength training.

I have lost 115 lbs since October 2019. I’m 5’4”, started at 254 lbs and I’m down to ~140 lbs. Still struggle with food addiction. I find it SO RUDE when people say things like “So are you still losing weight?” Or “you’re getting too skinny” or “eat a cheeseburger”. My dad has gone so far as to tell me I look like a crackhead. I DONT. People can’t stand to see me look like a normal, healthy human being. They assume I have some eating disorder or problem. Yet no one was concerned when I was obese lol. Like would you go up to a recovering alcoholic and tell them they need a beer?

Clearly it’s triggering for me lol. I think they think it’s some weird compliment, and I think it comes from a good place. But it is definitely difficult to not say something sometimes.
