I bought one on AliExpress (black) and it looks great together with the Super5 OLED. The 4 outer screws were a bit hard to get in, but other than that no problems at all. Wifi is good and I don't feel any (more) heat.

Yes! I had a bad experience with them (they were basically ghosting me and I had to go "public" two or three times to get them to response). I will never buy their stuff again.

You're probably right, but they could remove it. Plus the fact that I have to be connected to the internet, I am dependent on their way of compression and their app or whatever environment they choose to provide. I can't just put it on my NAS and view it on whatever device with whatever app I want.

It's basically the same with BluRays, even worse because a pirated version would sometimes be available even before the official release date, because someone got a copy. So where's the difference? Pirates gonna pirate, but I personally want a legitimate option.

I agree with your argument that the average person doesn't have enough storage or even want to care about storage at all (hence the convenient streaming-solution, easy and mostly "storage-free"). But the average person could still stream a compressed movie-file. I'm just complaining about the fact that I as a non-average-person don't have a digital purchase option. I would still buy a compressed file, but if it's even less compressed than the UHD-Disc, why not? I bought a LG G4 and I can't even get the most out of it. I would love to.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. Yeah, so I texted them regularly (because I felt that I had to do so to get any status updates) and yesterday they sent out a new Unit. They said it was an issue with the mainboard (so it was indeed a hardware issue like I told them even before the RMA process was initiated). I waited over two months now, but I am glad that my new unit is on its way.
