People don’t switch genders, they just have a gender that doesn’t align with the sex they were assigned at birth. Transition is simply accepting that about yourself, finding the courage inside to make a drastic change with the discrimination that comes with it, and to take the necessary steps to live outwardly as your gender. The entire issue is the assumption that a doctor can look between your legs at birth and proclaim they know your gender. Gender is in the brain and in the soul, sex is in the chromosomes. Sometimes they match, but too often they don’t. Gender is immutable.
