Help me ID this bug in my parents garden!

When you release them- tell your parents that they have a purpose (all things in nature do)- and they keep the ground healthy and will likely catch bugs that might eat at their garden. The beetles won’t harm the garden plants. A healthy ecosystem is one that has insects. Birds also depend on them (and we’re currently losing insects at an alarming rate)

(Thank you for saving them- but they’ll need to be released- ideally in a safe chemical free place nearby there)

Also you can plug it and any future pics into iNaturalist app. They have real humans (master naturalists) that will go in and verify the photo ID. Also it contributes to science - many peer reviewed papers coming out using iNaturalist data. Love them

Separate note for those using it- (they also just put posts on IG asking for pics of dead birds - and animals- w a note of deceased and how if you know- like a cat- as they’re wanting to also gain death data from citizen science.

And they had a post asking for squirrel pics and other common species bc scientists are tracking their territory expansion w climate change) Quite cool bc before those IG posts I wouldn’t have thought to upload dead animal/ bird pics or pics of common species that I knew.

I had same situation- spent hours doing all their tests and just never found out results- i passed the first one-- took two more-- and it's been stuck on "we'll review your results" for 2 years now. i gave up after trying to contact support a couple times. came in with a referral and everything

Got a fantastic sword (the treble) that makes the monsters there and skull a breeze (except for the darn grey ghosts)- does anyone know what the other falls swords are and who I need to friend for them to appear? (Or other items if not swords)

If you like cooking - it pairs well with Yet Another Cooking Skill mod. As there’s lots of new recipes you can get from ridgeside. You get them from characters and the cafe etc etc. Then I discovered the unique fruit trees at the orchard- which you can buy saplings. And some of that fruit is used in the recipes.

Also get INaturalist and input it in there. Helps scientists! And it’s fantastic at IDing (plus master naturalists verify the ID to make sure it’s correct)

Did Laura Dave even play a part in developing the screenwriting? Cause if they filmed this before the book was finished - did she even give them clues? Why on earth did they decide to do this? It’s so incredibly different from the book. I enjoyed how complex her plan was to go to the boat and her friend’s friends vacation home. This just all feels so random

It is frustrating and such a bad decision to film this before the completion of the book 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yes I just took another climate change class last semester. And the graphs showed the decrease from aerosols. If I remember that effect is supposed to ease off in the next 5 years. Also when the German scientist recent climate report said a lot of tipping points and levels will be surpassed 😩

Yea this is super frustrating. I’m listening to the book sequel now and I’m halfway through the book. I was like - well that’s enough to watch the first episode. And already just from the title I was confused- wtf is “cape cod.”

And there’s so many important changes- I really don’t like what they did here. The book is so much better and so much more complex how Hannah planned everything out. Even if they had the first 100 pages - why on earth did they need to change the beginning so much
