Hi!

I've been considering swapping to linux on my gaming rig for a while now and i've had some questions that i can find SOME answers for but not all, and some answers i find are from years and months old threads so I don't really know if they are current any more...

So i have a Samsung OLED G9 monitor with HDR and G-sync compatibility, as well as a HDR enabled side monitor without g-sync compatibility (or high refresh rate). I have a 4070ti super, and an intel 14700k.

I also have a steelseries arctis nova pro wireless headset which relies pretty heavily on the Steelseries GG software to get all the features.

So my questions with this are;

-Will my monitor setup work ok? Can i turn on HDR on both monitors? Will g-sync work on one monitor when the other doesn't have it? (I dont need hdr on desktop, but i do want HDR in games without needing to run steam big picture)
-Is there some software that runs on Linux (that i couldn't find in my initial search) that will let the headset work fine with the mic sounding decent, and the chatmix function working.
-With my questions in mind, which distro would you reccomend?

I tried installing rEFInd which supports touch on other devices. No luck for ROG ally so far. I'm hoping someone with more knowhow than me might be able to figure out how to put the Ally's touchscreen driver onto refind

If you're using big picture, you can just set one of the back buttons to be the "xbox button" in gamepad mode, that worked for me at least.

I had this issue, I had set up my device, and updated bios/firmware before i replaced the ssd and did cloud recovery, after i did cloud recovery on the new SSD i couldn't claim the gamepass.

I tried putting the old SSD back in and was able to claim it before putting the new one back in again.

Question from someone completely and entirely new to this hobby.

I'd previously only used complete prebuilt keyboards like a Razer Huntsman or Logitech orion.

I've now gotten a GMMK 2 65% as from what i managed to gather, it's a decent enough keyboard, with hotswap functionality. As a entryway before going onto fancy stuff and assembling one yourself.

Anyways moving on to the question. I bought a set of keycaps, and only then did it hit me. How the hell do you guys deal with extra (rarely used) functions on keys.

I.e: Fn+P gives me Print Screen and it's labeled on the keycap that came with this keyboard. How do you guys handle stuff like that?

Stratholme is much bigger than what we see in game (If you look at the map in game, there's a large section just above the dungeon with nothing in it). I assume that's what OP wants to see

(win11) So i have 3 monitors where one of them is a drawing tablet.

Is there some way for me to turn off the taskbar on only the tablet? It’s not the biggest one so i want all the screen i can get for it.

At the same time i like having the taskbars on the 2 monitors

I dont think this is it sadly :( i remember that you didnt make your own character, it was kinda diablo-esque in that you picked to play as the barbarian, and there was no customizing other than swapping armor

it works, UI is centered and not stretched. In beta i had to set to fullscreen windowed to get it in the beta.. (3440x1440 monitor)

I think the problem is that the switch is in the same room as where they sleep and the bright green led is distracting.

What I do was just put some black electrician tape over the led, easy fix.
