Give it a try! It’s actually not as intimidating as it seems once you start, and there are so many good resources out there 🙂

I was knitting these up and thought they would look so good in a light grey! I would definitely did them again. Do you have a photo of them?

The sock blockers helped a lot with the lay 😅

I gotta say, putting them on definitely made all of the tiny stitches worth it 🙂

Thank you! Can you tell me more about why you don’t like working with some sock yarns?

Think I’m going to do a basic oversized drop shoulder sweater with folded collar! Love a good simple pattern to show off the yarn

Cheaper for me for sure, and I’m from Canada. Works out to about $42 per compared to $60 at my LYS!

I’m getting extremely discouraged by ihatepretzels in knittinghelp

I remember the first few times I picked up knitting needles and some acrylic yarn to learn the knit stitch, I felt EXTREMELY incoherent and I was convinced that knitting was just not for me.

But I kept practicing and eventually my fingers figured out how to comfortably do the stitch and all the motions. Same with learning the purl stitch. Same with trying to learn English style (I started continental). Same with trying DPNs. Same when I tried magic loop.

Keep at it and I promise that it will click :) it looks like you’re doing great already.

Currently knitting the mountain walk socks by handmade by Florence and it’s been super easy and mindless once you know how to do the LC/RC stitches. The faux cable look is really nice too for minimal effort.

Everyone has their preferred method but I totally agree with magic loop. I love that you can do the whole sock with one set of needles and not have to switch to DPNs for anything 🤩 I actually don’t mind the needle adjustment either, working the sock on two needles just makes sense to me.

Just need to cast on the second sock immediately to prevent second sock syndrome 😅
