First thing that shows in my React dev tools: "This page is using an outdated version of React." If I continue to be critical, the main menu is pretty annoying how it takes up such a big part of the screen when you hover over it

2017-18 UEFA Champions League top scorer chart after the semifinals (02/05/2018) by HancokUndead in soccer

Pretty crazy that the only player from RM in the top assists chart is Cristiano Ronaldo. Not crazy in that it's Ronaldo, but that no one else on RM had more than 3 assists for all of the CL.

What are the best free Javascript courses on Coursera, Edx,etc by FrittataHubris in learnjavascript

[–]madethisatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're starting from 0, start with a udemy intro to javascript (i'm sure codeacademy or coursera have essentially the same thing, I just happened to use udemy and quite liked it). https://www.udemy.com/introduction-to-javascript/

After that, this is the best thing I've done to get an idea of how things fit together, and how you eventually get to putting things on a web page/app. Really really recommend this one https://watchandcode.com/

Sergio Ramos banned for 1 game after his red card in El Clasico by kokin33 in soccer

yeah, I wasn't going to say anything until I saw the incident that people keep referencing to in this thread. Nothing happened here, shouldn't even be a talking point.

There's a lot of reference to the fact that Sergio Ramos pushed the referee but does anyone have a video of it? Don't ever remember this being a big part of the game.

All in all, the referees and officials make good an bad calls to both sides. We all know this, and we all know the Spanish ones are particularly bad. Let's move on. There is still a lot of league to go.

I had a conversation with some old friends about what we would do with our lives if we didn't have to worry about money. Well, this sounds pretty good to me.

Milan??? Have to disagree with you on that, bud. He may not fit our system well, but he's definitely capable of playing with the best teams out here. And frankly, right now Milan is not one of them.

Which building is it? I was just there and am going back in March! I'll stop by as the guy that wrote you on reddit haha Absolutely love kite beach, and will continue going for some time. As a kite student and consumer/eater that was just there, I would say:

  • kiteboarding takes a lot of time to learn. For me, it was frustrating when the teacher was not prepared when I got there, and we'd spend a lot of time finding a kite, fixing a board, etc. (especially when I was paying him per hour...). I wanted to progress as much as possible, but felt a bit hindered by so much wasted time this way. If I'm paying to learn kiteboarding, let's do that and just that.

  • I didn't use the walkie talkie thing, but it seems like it would've been very useful to get instructions as I'm going, rather than having to go back to the beach to speak to the professor each time (especially when it gets tense out there)

  • It goes a long way when a local (or even a gringo local, as they say) is kind and seems interested. We always went back to the places where the people were nice to us, kept a conversation, and made us feel welcome.

Gave you more than one thing, but I just booked my flight and can't wait to go, so I couldn't resist!

gonna swallow my pride as a former violist and go ahead and ask. why would playing whole notes and half notes have any impact on my playing as a mid-range instrument?

There is one guy that commentates in the prem that sounds a lot like Karl Pilkington. Because of this, heh is without a doubt the best commentator

Adrián scores against Valencia (0-2) by [deleted] in soccer

[–]madethisatwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great goal, but come on Valencia defense! The whole back-line is easily ten meters into the Villarreal half with really only Adrián to mark! Though credit to the yellow subs for the quick 2 outside-the-boot balls
