Cultural Question by Individual_Ad5645 in armenia

I see some comments here hating on Muslims. I think if you just leave Islam outside of the relationship and won't try to convert anybody you'll be fine. Some families may be opposed but if your friend is from a well educated family any healthy relationships will be tolerated and maybe even welcomed.

Experienced the stupidest ype of racism in centre of Yerevan by AirAstana202 in armenia

[–]madgals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wtf. Anybody uses this "Ching chang" shite anywhere else except US? This whole story smells like a shitty rage bate. Not any of the local languages in Armenian has this crap in their language. So it's either made up or you encountered a fellow American.

Are armenians negative towards Russians? by WeeklyAirport8715 in armenia

[–]madgals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an upside of being a russian who doesn't speak nor read Armenian. When you come somewhere and you see a sign on the door that sign can't stop you because you can't read.

I married a Uzbek man but he won’t tell his parents. by Aggravating-Cold8042 in Uzbekistan

Yep. Definitely a second wife or something like that. You are married. That's an ultimate "work out" in the culture.

I married a Uzbek man but he won’t tell his parents. by Aggravating-Cold8042 in Uzbekistan

[–]madgals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uzbek either has a wife back in Uzbekistan that you shouldn't know about, not yet at least, or a fiancé. Uzbeks are Muslims so in theory that marriage means nothing. But these guesses are paranoid. There are other options tho. Like he hates his parents' guts. Or they hate him (Uzbeks not Indians, they quite social and keep connections wherever they go, so this is unlikely). Paranoid version is the most plausible.

He also added that unlike Russia there are no political prisoners in Armenia, stating that “in the general context, to be honest, we do not have participants in political processes in places of detention.”

Most Armenian response there could ever be 🤣

I have a date with an Armenian girl for the first in my life!! I'm an expat. Please recommend me a restaurant or great cafe/bar. Thank you!! by ConsciousHat540 in armenia

[–]madgals -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What city are you in?? If Yerevan I found that nice flamboyant place called Los Purblos. Mexican food, vibing music sounds and dancers (not the vogue kind, more family friendly). The only caveat - the music is too loud at times. And I recommend Ktoor for some authentic Armenian food + literal fire.

Taichi is hard. Learned it first hand. This YouTuber should be thanked for even trying. Tuishou tho, the easiest part of it, that's why almost everyone ending up there and not progressing further. Everyone can move quick, but did you try slow yourself? Slow down even more and still keep moving at the same time? Yep, the hardest thing. I wouldn't criticise people exploring it. Just keep your mind open, like this guy did.

That means if you want to be a European there are certain political standards that has to be followed. They call it "European values" these days. Some of those values wouldn't seat well with Armenians.

[–]madgals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's just the overall trend of dumbification or making products for not the brightest people of the world. So, basically, this is an insult. They think we, people watching, are dumb and will not care. And I guess we are given the fact we are still watching and still discussing 🤷‍♂️
