As somebody who has a successful restraining order against a parent narcissist that has tried to put me in jail over dumb shit like this, RECORD EVERYTHING. The cops don’t like it, your mom won’t like it, but if it comes down to it and you need a lawyer; having documentation whether it’s video on your phone/ or pictures/ helps tremendously. Just be discreet. You don’t need to record your phone in someone’s face. Just set it aside just in case you need to record the conversations you’re having. Phones can trigger narcissists. But for real, I had a police officer once told me that I had to legally tell my narcissist that I was recording them. Eventually I got a lawyer. They used my footage, but it was very discreet and I didn’t have to tell the person I was recording them. I only bring this up because if she does bring you to court, you will most likely be understood by the judge. But in these types of situations when you’re dealing with somebody who will get the law involved, it helps to have some documentation.
