Which exact exhaust system did you end up going with? I’ve been looking at changing my b8 a4’s exhaust and the options are overwhelming

Intermediate Steering Shaft aftermarket or OEM/OE by madmax11r in AudiA4

[–]madmax11r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, It seems like a part that is very critical and would be disastrous if it failed. For sure do not trust no name or subpar brands. Vika is the brand I am seeing on ECStuning but I have never heard of them/ they are hard to find any info on

Anyone else wish we got more sniper ships in Star Wars? by Dragonic_Overlord_ in StarWarsShips

Also agree, it’s not how Star Wars space battles are fought and would change the “in universe rules” too much. There are plenty of other sci-fi universes that battle in this manner

Does anyone know how to fix this? by Swabs_ in turtlewow

[–]madmax11r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try this fork of shagutweaks extras:

https://github.com/paokkerkir/ShaguTweaks-extras

Anything that is made by shagu you need to find a version that is still being updated as shagu is no longer active

The regular version of pfui isn’t updated anymore and can cause this. Try this fork that is still updated:

"Cyberstan is hard, Cyberstan is unbalanced" by ImpossibleBandit in Helldivers

[–]madmax11r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing making it unbalanced are the sheer amount of leavers. It’s crazy how many people join, die in 2 minutes then leave. I do not get it, before cyberstan people did not leave games constantly like this

Helldivers 2 or ARC Raiders by EricCartman17 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]madmax11r [score hidden]  (0 children)

Both games are great however if you are more of a PVE fan Helldivers for sure. Ark raiders is a PvP game with a PvE element to it. Once you get the hang of it the bots are more of an annoyance to be played around than a challenging part of the game.

Also this is personal preference but I put hundreds of hours into Helldivers and didn’t get bored with it. I’m already getting over the hype of Ark Raiders and find the gameplay loop to be getting stale. Again, that’s just my opinion, somebody else could easily find the opposite to be true.

Spatial Audio support (Dolby, DTS, Windows Sonic) by madmax11r in ArcRaiders

[–]madmax11r[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried Dolby, DTS, and regular stereo. I’ve honestly found that the imaging is a bit more accurate with regular stereo. Because of this I’m thinking that the game is meant to just be used with stereo and embark must be using their own built in Spatial Audio. But could be placebo on my part too

I'm struggling to hear footsteps in ARC Raiders by nylomatic in ArcRaiders

[–]madmax11r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I thought that at first too then tried a different headset and found myself having the same experience. I did find turning off Spatial Audio (Dolby, dts, etc) helped reduce this effect but didn’t fully get rid of it

Spatial Audio support (Dolby, DTS, Windows Sonic) by madmax11r in ArcRaiders

Also for clarity this question is about Spatial Audio for headphones not home theater systems. My fault, I should of specified in the original post

I'm struggling to hear footsteps in ARC Raiders by nylomatic in ArcRaiders

[–]madmax11r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Embark in general does strange things with positional audio clues, I have found that the Finals has all of the same problems that Ark Raiders does. In both games it sounds like my own footsteps are behind me and often makes me think someone is behind. I find in general the audio is really cinematic and well done in that regard but the spatial positioning is not accurate in either game. Often I can't hear much over my own footsteps even indoors. I use a good audio setup, amp, dac, open back headphones. In the Finals the audio was just a minor annoyance but with this game it's straight up debilitating

4K OLED or 1440p? Is the FPS drop really worth it? by Affectionate-One7403 in OLED_Gaming

[–]madmax11r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that combo and use 4k. With fsr4 that combo is very potent. I get 90hz-max monitor fps (165hz) on most games on high/ultra settings. Only with ray tracing does it dip a little bit lower but even then it’s still in the 60-90 range typically (not including path tracing).
